Hello Roshan,
For admission in any engineering course, you have to appear for some or the other CET. It's inescapable unless you get admission through management quota. JEE Mains will get you admission in a well known establishment.

Only 75% in board exam is required to appear for JEE Mains exam. Your admission in an engineering college will depend on the marks scored by you in the JEE Mains exam.

Hello Zainab,
I hope by now you would be studying in some college. However, let me emphasise that SVNIT is a well-known college and one needs around 280+ to get admission here in the desired branch.

Hello Rohit,
All Institutions in Maharashtra are required to admit students based only on marks obtained in MHT CET and not JEE Mains. Hence, you are advised to appear for this if seeking admission in institute of your choice.

Yes, from 2017 onwards NITs and state government colleges would accept JEE Mains rank. Mains rank would be on the basis of marks you get in Mains. There will be no role of boards mark.
