Hey Ravi,
It completely depends on your interest or career plans that which one you want to go for. Mechanical engineering gives you a generic specialization which will be applicable throughout but automobile will give you a specific field of specialization. Unless you don't have any specific career plans with automobile engineering I would suggest go for mechanical engineering.

Hey Ravi,
Both the degrees are the same except their names. Universities offering other courses along with technical courses name it as ME otherwise it is termed as M.Tech. There is no difference between them. Also some universities having good placement records and national and international rankings are listed below -

You can not do MTech after BSc IT. For doing MTech you are required to be BTech / MSc IT / MCA.

you have cleared cuttoff marks?
if yes then you may get the college for mtech in your state since your marks is not that good to get admission in good college . in my opinion you have to take another chance prepare for one more try and try to score more than 50 and its easy to score if you prepare for it you can join a coaching institute they will guide you and provide study material. I recommende you to join made easy regular classroom program. it was best i also joined there.
