Hi,
There are two main methods of entry into the faculty of engineering:
Direct entry (from high school or equivalent) to the preliminary year program, transfer student (from direct entry, U1, other faculties, other institutions) to preliminary year program one of 5 degree programs.
All admission requirements, deadlines and procedures can be found in the faculty of engineering admission bulletins. Refer to these documents for current information.
GPA requirement:
Admission into both our preliminary year program and our degree programs is competitive based on academic achievement and program capacity. Direct Entry admission requires a minimum of 85% averaged over Chemistry 40S, Mathematics (Pre-Calculus) 40S, and Physics 40S to be considered eligible to apply for admission.
Admission into a degree program is based on the adjusted GPA calculated on the best 8 of the 12 preliminary year courses completed. Each year the adjusted GPA requirement may change based on the number and caliber of applicants, the capacity of each program remains fixed.
