As per the official site of Queensland University of Technology, it is considered a Level 2 university in Australia for student visa assessments. But it is highly reputable and academically considered a Tier 1 equivalent.

QUT does not really make it to the research-intensive Group of Eight (Go8), it ranks among the top 226 universities in the world.

It is industry focused and real world learning.

No, to pursue courses like the Master of Data Analytics at QUT, Indian applicants are not required to show any unofficial or prior knowledge of Stats or Coding for admissions

Other admission requirements are given below, take a look -

  • A relevant UG degree with a GPA of 4.0 on QUT 7.0 GPA
  • Having IT, Mathematics or a related quantitative field may be useful for a faster 1.5-year program
  • English language proficiency

No, Queensland University of Technology does not prioritize the subject-specific marks over the overall scores.

QUT actually evaluates international applicants based on their overall academic average. Look at the key admission criteria for Indian students -

  • For UG courses, QUT looks at the overall score which should be around 60% to 75%
  • For PG courses like a Master of IT or Data Science, students need a minimum GPA of 4.0 on a 7.0 scale (around 60% on the Indian scale)
