Allahabad University Selection Criteria 2026
The next step in the admission process is to appear for the Allahabad University entrance. The university accepts the scores of CUET UG, JEE Advanced and JEE Mains for admission to its UG courses. For PG admissions, the university conducts Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) in two phases. The PGAT-I test is offered in both online as well as offline mode while PGAT II test is offered via online mode only. For Allahabad University MBA admission, candidates must appear for the GDPI process.
Now the question arises is that what is the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT)?
PGAT is a 300 marks entrance exam with 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Fifty questions are related to General Awareness, General English, General Hindi, Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability. This is a compulsory section for all courses except LLM, BEd, MEd and MBA/MBA(RD). The remaining questions are as per the applicant's choice of programme. Once candidates appear for the entrance test and GDPI (for MBA admission), the cutoffs are declared on the Allahabad University website. Selected candidates must then appear for the counselling process. After the document verification process, students must pay the AU Allahabad fees to confirm their admission.
