I'm satisfied with faculty, need to renovate defense department and add canteen to science faculty.
Placements: I don't think students get a package here because I'm in B.Sc. mathematics so I don't know. Many top government officials have studied at the University of Allahabad so I think the type of environment they provide is influencing the students to study and ace in exam they want to.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are awesome. Every department is nice but the defense department has only two classes which causes little problem to students and the scholars teaching there. Talking about hostel, they are not that good. Very dirty and the food is also not that much good. Also, need a canteen in science department.
Faculty: Teachers are strict and knowledgeable. They are just good at their job. University of Allahabad provides almost every course which is good. The difficulty level of the exam is medium they give only the previous year's questions, which is very helpful to students.
Other: The best thing about my course is it's a science and I love science. I think there should be an improvement in the schedule. There are no fests, no events, they don't even let us gather at the time of festival like Holi.

If you are up to exploring something new, never take a look at this university.
Placements: There is no such placement in any of the departments since most students apply for further studies, like master's courses in their respective branches. Even now, there is not much effort from the organization for any placement after the completion of undergraduate courses.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of the college is fantastic. Some changes in the form of class maintenance should be taken into consideration. Most of classes have broken desks and chairs full of dust and dirt, making it unhygienic for students to sit. Washrooms also need a bit of sanitation.
Faculty: For undergraduate courses, currently they have annual exams, which on hearing seems good but isn’t the fact anymore. Lack of support from the faculty is seen. The annual exam makes it harder to pass, and thus the annual result also declines with all these matters.
Other: There are no fests, farewells, freshers, sports, or any cultural activities carried out overall the year. Just for name and fame, the sports meet happens.

Good infrastructure, great faculty, but some fields need to be improved.
Placements: Well, there aren't many placement opportunities in the Physics, Chemistry, and Maths combination, but some companies like Wipro offer students with above 60% marks to do M.Tech from BITS Pilani and at the same time work for Wipro. The package is around 3 to 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Though the infrastructure is pretty good, some improvements are needed:
Wi-Fi is slow and sometimes doesn't work in the hostel.
The food in the mess is not good.
There isn't any canteen in the Science faculty; the canteen is available only in the Arts faculty.
Talking about sports, you can play almost every sport in the hostel.
Labs are pretty good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is pretty good. There isn't any semester system in UG here; courses are yearly. Exams are held once per year. Exams aren't difficult, but copy checking is tough. Only 30-40% of students pass in B.Sc. Mathematics.
Other: I am currently pursuing B.Sc. Mathematics because I love mathematics. Office work needs to be quicker. There aren't many events happening here. There are many scholarship opportunities like UP Scholarship, National Scholarship, Merit Cum, and Inspire.

About University of Allahabad.
Placements: The highest package was Rs. 600,000 and the lowest and average package is Rs. 400,000. The top recruiting companies are KGS, TCS, Wipro, etc. The number of students getting placed is very low. Here, students do not get internships; only placement takes place for B.Sc. students.
Infrastructure: Every year, an alumni meet is organized. Freshers get a fresher's party by seniors of that department and seniors who pass out get a farewell party, etc. In the library, all types of books are available. Here, football, volleyball, cricket, basketball, hockey, etc., are offered. Every game ground is well maintained. Classrooms have all amenities like benches, chairs, smart boards, etc.
Faculty: In B.Sc. Maths, exams are taken once a year. It is actually better than semester-wise examinations because we have enough time to complete the syllabus. In B.Sc. Maths, he/she would get a combination of three subjects, each subject having three papers. The passing percentage was only 37 percent.

A good college for doing a graduation in mathematics with heritage infrastructure.
Placements: Well, the placements are not good here at this university; very few students get placed. A few companies come every year and bring only a few students with them. Overall, this is not a placement-oriented university. If we talk about the number of packages, one can get a maximum of 20,000 per month and a minimum of 5,000 per month. If we talk about internships, there is no internship offered by the university.
Infrastructure: The University is one of the oldest university in India and known as ' Oxford of the east'. The infrastructure of the university is old; the buildings here are old-styled but give you a heritage look.
There is a good supply of water in all departments and in the Science faculty, you will get enough water in all departments. Wi-Fi service is given to students on campus, giving you good internet speed. If you choose a hostel for living, then it's a good decision. The hostels are well maintained, the mess is good, and the food here is affordable. Sports are not much appreciated at the university but you will get the chance to play 1-2 tournaments of a few sports in a year organised by the university.
Faculty: The teachers here are well qualified and very supportive; they give you better knowledge as compared to other universities. The teachers complete their syllabus on time, along with solving all the studentsdoubts. The course is very effective for your future studies or preparations. The course here is very good for UPSC preparation. Here, exams are organised once a year and are quite difficult; you have to study properly to pass them.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in mathematics and my love to solve mathematics problems. The best thing about this course is that it will make you future-ready and also function your mind in a good way. This course is very well designed and only needs a little bit of education in the syllabus. The campus has no events or festivals except national festivals. Campus life is not good here; this campus is only study-oriented.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty, facilities, and really good infrastructure.
Placements: Around 8 to 10 students out of 1500 students have gotten placement in our university, as most of the students do not apply for the placement drive, and as also in North India, students are mostly interested in government jobs and the private sector has not built up yet, thus there are fewer companies opting for placement, and the first preference is also IITs and NITs. The highest package offered in our course is 3–4 lacs per annum. Hardly one or two companies come for placement at our university, so there is nothing like top recruiting or all. Also, there are hardly any companies for placement here, and if that comes too, their preference is post-graduate or masters students. And in that too, only 2 or 3 students get internships.
Infrastructure: In our university, there are 4 faculty members: arts, science, commerce, and law. Ours is a science faculty. In our faculty, there are 3–4 gates for entry. There are several departments in the Science Faculty, and each department has 2-3 buildings consisting of laboratories, lecture halls accompanied by A.C.S. staffrooms, separate cabins for Holds, separate washrooms, and R.O. water installed in each department. Each department has its own separate library, which is only accessible to post-graduation and masters students, not graduation students. There is one common library available for all students. Wi-Fi is also available to all students enrolled in university. There are separate courts for each sport, such as badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court, cricket ground, and hockey ground, but they are also accessible only to the players of the university team. There is one common ground available for all students. There is also a separate sports board for all this stuff. There are separate hostels for girls and boys at our university. There are altogether 13–15 hostels, seven for boys and seven for girls. Electricity and water are available 24 hours a day in hostels, and Wi-Fi is also installed in hostels. The quality of food available in the market is also pretty good, according to price. There are separate gyms, medical rooms, libraries, and common areas in each hostel. The equipment for sports is also provided by the hostels. Newspapers are also given in hostels in the main languages.
Faculty: The teachers of Allahabad University are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They also have a very good career and educational background. The nature of teachers is also good and quite helpful to the students. They also take lectures on time, and there are hardly any chances of class being canceled. The course is not that relevant as it does not have much practicality, but my subjects are math, physics, and statistics. Statistics is of much use in day-to-day life, and the syllabus of statistics forms the basis for many career options like data analytics, in the share market, and in some government jobs too. The semester exams in our university are not that difficult as most of the questions are from previous year papers, but as the syllabus is vast and the time given to complete that syllabus is limited, it becomes difficult for the students to pass the exams. The passing percentage of the students in their first year is only 37%.
Other: The best thing about my course is that it gives practical knowledge, and as said earlier, the syllabus of statistics is very useful for government jobs such as ISS and in data analytics, share market, or business analyst. The things I wish to get better at are the occurrence of some career-oriented seminars at the university and also field surveys that would help to get a better idea about the topics. Cultural and sports festivals should improve and should occur on a large scale, as many students remain unaware of the occurrence of such events. Fests such as freshmen and farewell are organized separately by each department student and not by the university. Also, many cultural events involve students of dance, music, fashion design, and not any other course. Any particular scholarship is not given by the university but by the state and national scholarship only. Cultural events in hostels occur on a large scale. In 2024, in a particular boys hostel, a total expenditure of around 17 lacs was done in an alumni meet-up event, and all of that was raised by the alumni of that particular hostel.

Recent joined this university but I am really satisfied with the facilities provided by my college.
Placements: The atmosphere here is very student friendly and the teachers are well qualified. University has great alumni network which helps a lot of students in getting job at esteemed placed. Students get really good packages in their respective fields overall.
Infrastructure: The university has lush green campus. The campus is taken care by the security members. There are many libraries, separate libraries for different courses. Wi-Fi is provided to all the students in all over college. The labs are well-equipped with every apparatus present there.
Faculty: The teachers here very supportive and always help students in every possible way. They provide not only theoretical knowledge but practical knowledge also. The yearly exams are very tough as the passing percentage of B.Sc. is only 37 percent. The thing is college focuses on quality over quantity.
Other: The university has a lot of educational clubs which help in shaping students future in better way. The Bachelors course imparts really vast learning and knowledge.

Reality of student life at the University of Allahabad.
Placements: Very few placement opportunities are available, primarily for B.Tech students. Other course students do not receive as much attention from the university. The average one can expect is 3 to 4 Lacs per annum. There are a few companies like GE and many private firms that handle placements.
Infrastructure: The complex of Vijaynagram Hall, the Science faculty of the University of Allahabad, is the main attraction, historically, along with the Senate Hall of the arts faculty. Some classrooms are equipped with projectors and smartboards, while others only have a blackboard. The labs are operational, but instruments need to be updated.
Faculty: This is the worst part for B.Sc. students: we have to complete one year's syllabus in 6 months due to the late session and delayed admission process of the University administration. Classes are irregular, and professors do not provide much support. In the end, on average, only 40% of students pass the exam. The copy checking is very strict.
Other: There is no minimum attendance criteria, so you can prepare for government competitive exams.
