Candidates must first apply for their preferred course on the official website of the university. Alagappa university admission is both entrance and merit-based, depending upon the nature of the programme. The university conducts an entrance exam for admission to B.Ed, MBA, MCA and MSc. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET June application on April 20, 2024. The last date for the UGC NET application form was May 19, 2024. The NTA UGC NET exam is scheduled to be conducted between August 21 to September 4, 2024. 

Alagappa University integrated BSc-MSc course in Marine Biology is of five-year duration. There are a total of 10 semesters, wherein, each has a list of subjects.
