At the undergraduate level, Allahabad University offers a three-year BCA programme in the field of Software and IT. Candidates must have taken the CUET UG test conducted by NTA in order to be considered for admission to the BCA programme at Allahabad University. A three-year, full-time BCA curriculum in the general and self-financed modes is available from Allahabad University. Divided into six semesters and three years, students must have finished their Class 12 in the Science or Commerce stream to be eligible for this course. Allahabad University has good infrastructure and a good hostel facility.

Placements: I talked to my seniors and super seniors students, who have completed their course, and they said Allahabad University has zero placement rate in the BCA course. As my senior said this college provides placement for only those students who completed MCA, not BCA.

Infrastructure: They have good Wi-Fi facilities and have old and new computer labs and a good library, which is open during office hours only. Classroom are good. Have medical facilities and have different types of sports related programs. They have a mess facility, but change their food quality depending on whether the hostel is old or new. I am in a new hostel named Shyam Ji Krishna Verma hostel. This hostel is very good in every aspect.

Faculty: They have made a syllabus for 2022 to 23, and that syllabus continues. There are no changes yet. In recent times, artificial intelligence plays a vital role but it has not changed the syllabus. They have a good hostel facility. They want 40 percent passing criteria and have timely semester and term exams.

Other: I am 1 years student, the good thing is the campus. They have to improve the placement record, professors, and update the syllabus. The event and fest will be organised in the future. They have a good scholarship record and have good extracurricular activities.

Placements: Nearly 85 to 90% of my course got placed through the on-campus drive. The highest package offered was in 2025, which was 10 LPA, and the lowest was about 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are startup and service-based, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. About 80 to 85% students got internships.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are Wi-Fi, CCTV cameras throughout the lobby, fully air-conditioned classrooms, and a well-furnished and equipped library. Many self-help books and extra books beyond studies are present in a good variety. The food quality at mess is also good. A large canteen area, as well as sports and games facilities, are also available.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, highly educated, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good. The teachers are quite supportive and helpful. The course curriculum is updated, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exam is above average to crack and score good marks. The passing percentage is 90 to 95%.

Other: The course is related to the core technical industry, which is now in demand. The college is the best place to live your college life, and along with that, you can study during the college hours themselves.

Placements: A minimum of 50% marks is required in the 10th and 12th in the math stream. The highest package in the BCA stream is 3 LPA, while the lowest is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS. No internships are provided in this college. It depends on your specialization.

Infrastructure: There are totally neat and clean classrooms with fully upgraded AC. There are many computer labs in the college and one library. This college provides average hostel facilities, but the food is not good, and sports or fields are not present in this college.

Faculty: There are many qualified teachers in this college, and they are very friendly. This college provides you with very good knowledge and also prepares you for the industry. This college takes 3 sessional exams in 6 months, covering the entire syllabus, so it is not heavy to prepare for the semester exam.

Other: Best thing about this course is that it is budget-friendly, only 60k per year. This college provides all the study materials to improve. Placements: BCA 2024-27, many students opt for higher studies after BCA as there are no more opportunities for BCA students. No campus placement support at that time, maybe provided in the future. Many students do free or paid internships. There is very supportive staff for academic related doubts.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is enabled in classroom, and library service is provided free of cost. Students can use free high-speed Wi-Fi and access online study materials on the internet. Hostel facilities are provided with adequate facilities. Hostels are in good condition for a student to live and excel in academics.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and interactive. Frequent exams are conducted in each semester, these frequent exams include class tests and mid semester examination followed by practical examinations and end semester examination. Semester exam is challenging in nature.

Other: It has highly attractive course, with industry-oriented syllabus designed. One can use subjects taught in this course to excel his/her skills to fulfill industry requirements. Events and fests are conducted on campus by different departments to ensure student engagement and personality development.

It's a good college if you think to take admission in it. It is worth of money.

Placements: 75 to 80% of students are placed across India. The highest package offered is about 10 LPA, and the lowest is about 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are service-based companies. About 70 to 80% of students got internships in the BCA course in startup or service-based companies. Top roles offered are tech-based.

Infrastructure: It is a very old university that carries the heritage of British India. Facilities provided by the university are good like Wi-Fi coverage throughout the campus. Labs are quite good in terms of quality and number of computers. As there are no hostel facilities provided by the college. But there is canteen in arts faculty. Sports, games, and play area are available.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified as it is a government institution. The selection process here is professors are quite difficult, so the teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is updated, and it makes the students study-ready. Semester exams are very difficult like the paper is easy, but the checking is quite hard. Passing percentage is 80%.

Other: This course is related to the core technical concept. Best thing is that the fees are affordable, and it is about 3 years.

Placements: I am a student of the first batch of the integrated BCA MCA, so it is a bit difficult to tell about placements. But, BCA and MCA are separate here, and almost 40-50% of students get campus selection. The highest package offered here is 7-8 LPA, the average is 4-5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2-3 LPA. There are no special companies that come here, but companies like Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies, and Cognizant do recruit. There are no special facilities for internships here. In the beginning, you will learn basic computer skills and some programming languages like HTML, CSS, and Python. Later, you will learn about machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure here are very good. There is Wi-Fi facility in the entire campus, along with good classrooms and labs. Additionally, you have a library related to your department, as well as a central library. The hostel facilities are available here, but the quality of food is not very good. The mess and canteen facilities are available. Apart, from this, there are very few medical facilities here, and there is no sports facility and no arrangements for it.

Faculty: Most of faculty members hold PhDs or M.Tech/MCA degrees from reputed institutions. Teachers are generally knowledgeable in core Computer Science and Data Science subjects, and some also publish research papers in AI/ML, Big Data, and related fields. The curriculum is relevant, covering topics like Python, R, SQL, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Data Visualization Tools, etc. The foundational base is strong, but students are encouraged to take online certifications like NPTEL for advanced skills. Exams are moderately difficult, and theory-heavy, with some programming and logical components. Practical exams require coding assignments. The pass rate is usually 70-80%, based on performance and regular attendance in classes. Teachers are approachable and help with academics and mini-projects.

Other: Data Science is one of the fastest-growing and in-demand fields globally. The course offers a strong mix of programming, statistics, and real-world problem-solving. I wanted a technical course that also opens doors for AI/ML, analytics, and cloud computing careers. It is strongly based on theory, covering topics like Python, machine learning, and deep learning. There are opportunities to engage in mini-projects and research papers. The tie-up with IT companies and startups for internships should be improved, and more hands-on labs and workshops would be helpful. A stronger placement and career guidance for teaching roles is needed. Annual fests like AVIRAL and departmental tech fests, with events including coding competitions, are also held.
