B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication - Batch of 2025
3.4
Amity University - overall honest.
Placements: Around 65% of students got placed. Top recruiting companies are Flipkart, Kotak, Zee Media, Aaj Tak, etc. Internships are for everyone, but they are not in very good companies. Reporter and anchor are some top roles offered in our course. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus is not very big. There are labs and different practical rooms for different programs and departments. We have a studio for practicals. Other than that everything is okay. The canteen is based on the tender. They give yearly tenders to different restaurants and brands.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and qualified. Exams are very difficult. Our course curriculum is relatable. We got a lot of exposure there. This college makes students industry-ready by providing them with internships on a regular basis but you will get to do internships in the 2nd year.
Other: Our batch is very good. I wanted to do journalism but now I am into PR. Many events are held on campus.

Great campus life, amazing festivals, good infrastructure, dissatisfied with placements in 2024.
Placements: The college placement in general is good, but talking about my course, which is journalism, the placement is very poor. Only a few companies had come in to recruit those with low salaries. Salaries offered ranged from 4.2 LPA (the highest) to 1.8 LPA (the lowest). Companies that came in were publication houses, sales, PR, and so on.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite nice, with all facilities, including Wi-Fi, provided to all students. Classrooms are spacious with AC, and the library is there with all the books required for your course. Additionally, there is a canteen and medical room, but yes, the hostel at Amity Ranchi has yet to be setup. By next year, it will be ready.
Faculty: The faculty is great. They all have great teaching experiences and academic qualifications. The course curriculum has been designed to be relevant, which makes the students industry-ready. Talking about semester exams, it's not that difficult to pass. Topics discussed in class and those mentioned on the syllabus are asked, as are some practical questions that anyone can answer. The passing percentage is 35–40%.
Other: Amity is a great place for campus life and extracurricular activities. Fests, workshops, and seminars are conducted on a regular basis to enhance the learning and participation of students. Amity is even known for its extravagant events. Students enjoy themselves to their fullest during these times.

Shot overview of Amity University, Ranchi.
Placements: Many different companies came for recruitment which consist some high profile companies such as Google, Wipro, Microsoft and many more multinational companies. As per our course, many local news channel, print media channels and some high profile channels come for recruitment every year.
Infrastructure: Hostel is quite good, but it's not owned by Amity. It is basically a partnership kind of hostel. The new campus is under construction which is going to be the most high-tech campus of Jharkhand. I hope that it will be completed before the session of 2023 batch will start. The quality of food of current hostel is far better than most of the hotels and PGs in Ranchi. About sports and game, college conduct different types of events all around the year.
Faculty: The faculty are very professional, friendly and helpful. About the curriculum and exam usually work as per the schedule. The exam was conducted with strict rules and regulations and supervised by the faculty members of exam department. The exams are conducted 4.5 months after the session starts.
Other: Almost half of our college life was spent on online mode but still college gave their most effort to make it as interactive as possible. Annual the university conduct a fest around March and annual sports event (sangathan) around September. Apart from these, many events were conducted around the year as per the departments.

The complete amazing journey of three years, I even have an on-campus place.
Placements: Placements are good, many companies like collaborate, British Telecommunications, Byjus, etc. Come to offer good packages to graduate programs. You just need to maintain a CGPA of 6 and above with no backlogs. College provides good support and the placement department is quite helpful.
Infrastructure: The college has got air-conditioned classrooms, water purifiers, and washrooms on every floor. Hostels are well maintained with zero ragging incidents, seniors are helpful. Hostel wardens are quite strict, food is neither good nor bad. 24*7 electricity and water supply are available.
Faculty: Faculty are quite supportive and would even respond to students apart from college hours. The course curriculum is as simple and informative as it should be, and class hours are convenient. Regular exams are held to check students' assessments apart from the pandemic times.
Other: Chose this course on family suggestions and was by far my best decision to choose Amity. Regular cultural events are organized by the college to keep the mood of students light and entertaining.

This college is like heaven on earth.
Placements: The placements in our college are average. Approximately 40% of students got placed. Few students got placed last year in my course. The top recruiting companies like Aaj Tak, News11, Bhaskar, etc., came here. Last year, only 5 students got placed from my course, of which 2 are in News11. Journalism is the top role offered in my course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are the best, in my opinion. It has modern classrooms with Wi-Fi, smart boards etc. Other facilities like labs and library are available. Other than this, there are hostel facilities, along with canteen and medical. For sports, there is a large playground for many games like cricket, football, basketball etc.
Faculty: In terms of teaching, our college is also a better option because all teachers are well qualified with the best knowledge. Teachers have good a relationship with students. There are many curricular activities related to our course which helps students to be perfect.
Other: This college is better in terms of money, knowledge and facilities. The best thing about this college is that it is eco-friendly. Events and fests are held. The college is near the market, so it also has the best connectivity. One thing that should be improved is its placement cell, and it should empower the students.

Our college is the best and affordable.
Placements: In our year, 30% of the students got placements. In our course, the highest salary package offered was nearly 7 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was nearly 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Companies like Aaj Tak, News 24, Zee News, etc., visit our college and offer a decent salary package. Journalism was the top role offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our college are perfect and better with proper Wi-Fi on our campus. Labs are well-maintained, and the library has ample books. Rooms of our hostel are well-maintained, and the food quality is on average. Medical facilities were instantly available during need. You can also explore yourself in games.
Faculty: Teachers of our college were very helpful and supportive also. They were qualified and had a deep knowledge of our course. The quality of teaching was good. This curriculum is not relevant, and it is also not related to the industry.
Other: I was interested, so I have chosen this course. The best thing is that you can explore yourself in this course. All things are good here, and there is no need for improvement. Our college has a lot of extracurricular activities during our course, and you can enjoy it a lot.

Very good faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: More than 70% of students get placed in good companies with packages starting from 4 LPA. The package goes as high as 50 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Zee News, India TV, and Aaj Tak. Internships are also provided, both paid and unpaid.
Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure. Events are regularly planned. Too much college fests make the student burden of study easy and relaxation. Every student gets access to Wi-Fi, the library, and labs. All software for digital graphic design and many more. We also have a student common room.
Faculty: The college has the best faculty members. They conduct mentor and mentee sessions every week and month. Faculty members and professors are easy to approach. Teachers are very kind and professional. We are provided with the best solutions. Teachers are experienced, well-mannered, and very disciplined.
Other: Good value for money.

Nothing is good. No campus till date, no proper and standard faculty, no proper industry exposure.
Placements: There is information about my senior student’s placement as flow of information is very rare. But as far as I know, only a few of the MBA students were placed. Flipkart was one of the company. Yes, there is a placement cell.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi, average labs and library. No medical facilities, no campus and there are no sports and games. Classroom quality is good. No canteen, no own hostel. So basic problem is that there is no campus. A good campus will solve all the problems. College has a tie up with local hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are bit helpful and knowledgeable. Quality is average. Every type of modern techniques used. 30:1 student ratio. Little bit of industry exposure is there. Course was designed for over-all development.
