Andhra University is a public university in the state of Andhra Pradesh which operates under the supervision of the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education. The university was established in 1926 and is about to complete its 100 years very soon.

Andhra University has been accredited NAAC “A” grade by the University Grant Commission (UGC). In addition to this, the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) which ranks universities and colleges all over India based on several parameters has ranked Andhra University 76 in the overall category and 43 in the university category.
