Absolutely satisfied with faculty, good placements, good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: 30% of the students are placed. They offered salary ranging from 10000 to 40000. Reddys labs, CCMB, Stockholm university are top recruiting companies for our course. The top roles are research assistant, lab manager. Maximum no. of students got internships at various labs like the institute of genetics.

Infrastructure: There is a special building called The Centre for Advanced Sciences in Andhra university. Department of human genetics is given entire floor consisting of a library, computer lab, cytogenetics lab, biochemical and molecular laboratories, four classrooms and hall.

Faculty: There were three main faculty members and five contract professors who have completed their PhDs and have done good amount of research as well. They were quite helpful in guiding the students and also the department has working scholars who also help students with their doubts.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in genetics. My understanding of genetics has improved after joining the course. We had fest and events.

What is the eligibility criteria of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for pursuing M.Sc in human genetics?

One must have completed graduation with B.Sc in any of the following- zoology, botany, chemistry, biology, genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology and microbiology. As you have done B.Sc in genetics, you need not to worry, you are already eligible for that. However, I am not sure about the percentage
