The Annamalai University's highest package has not been released for the 2023 drive. As per the NIRF report 2024, the highest median package offered in 2023 was INR 5.53 LPA and was made to PG (2-year) Pharmacy students. Take a look at the below table depicting the 2023 median package:

The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

Candidates must upload scanned copies of the documents below while filling out the application form. Also, self-attested Xerox copies of these documents have to be attached and sent to the University address along with the downloaded copy of the application form:

1. Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets/ grade certificates
2. UG/ PG mark sheets/ grade certificates (if applicable)
3. Proof of date of birth
4. Transfer and conduct/ Migration certificate from the previous institution
5. Passport-size photograph
6. Community certificate (for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates)
7. Medical certificate
8. Certificate of extra-curricular activities (if applicable)

Annamalai University Distance Education offers admission to candidates based on their merit. Candidates can get a seat directly through Spot Admission. Aspirants have to submit the filled-in application form along with the documents to the nearest Learners Support Centre or LSC in-person to get direct admission. All Spot Admissions are subject to confirmation or cancellation (if found ineligible) by the Director, CD&OE.

Annamalai University offers more than 500 courses through distance education, Annamalai University admissions are both merit-based and entrance-based.  Students can check with the admission office if the university allows payment through both online and offline modes. 

Candidates willing to get admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate programmes must apply online on the official website of Annamalai University Chidambaram. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are GATE, CEETA, NEET, and others. Candidates must prepare well for the entrance exams.
