Annamalai University DDE offers BFA at the undergraduate (UG) level and MA, MBA, MCom, MFA, MSc, and MSW courses at the Postgraduate (PG) level. Candidates who are interested in getting admission to UG or PG courses offered by this university can apply by visiting the official website. Students can apply for UG admission program-level courses if they have a 10+2 degree in the relevant subject from a university that is known to be good. Admission to courses in UG programs is based only on merit. For PG-level courses, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a university that is recognized. To get into the PG Diploma program, students must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least a 50% mark.

Offering courses at the UG, PG, PhD, and Diploma levels, Annamalai University offers courses at the total tuition fee ranging from INR 2.8 K to INR 29.4 Lakh. Annamalai University offers more than 500 courses through distance education, Annamalai University admissions are both merit-based and entrance-based.  Students can check with the admission office if the university allows payment through both online and offline modes. 

The fees for UG courses at Annamalai University Tamil Nadu is very less comparatively to other colleges it is around INR 3,000-10,000 per year for courses like BFA and BSc and they are similar but a little high for B.Tech courses. The DDE wing of the Annamalai University is located on the main campus of the university. It is a huge 800-acre campus. The campus offers modern yet all-required facilities to the students. The students pursuing programmes in distance mode might not require to visit the campus regularly. They can enjoy the facility of Learning centres and self-study material.

Candidates can apply for Annamalai University admission in online mode through its official website. Interested applicants also need to pay a course-specific application fee to conclude the application process. The university is ranked among the top three Universities in India for best distance education providers. The University has educated over 4.5 Lacs students in the past and continues to teach over thousands more. Hence, it is a good university for candidates wanting to study a distance course.

Candidates must upload scanned copies of the documents below while filling out the application form. Also, self-attested Xerox copies of these documents have to be attached and sent to the University address along with the downloaded copy of the application form:

4. Transfer and conduct/ Migration certificate from the previous institution
5. Passport-size photograph

The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.
