Amrita Chennai launches VEDAS 2026 with global participation, highlighting advances in VLSI, AI, and embedded systems

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai campus, inaugurated its first international conference on VLSI, Embedded Systems, Data Communication, Artificial Intelligence, and Signal Processing (VEDAS 2026). Springer will publish 31 of the accepted papers from this year's 326 submissions (45% acceptance rate).

Chennai: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai campus, inaugurated its first international conference on VLSI, Embedded Systems, Data Communication, Artificial Intelligence, and Signal Processing (VEDAS 2026). The event was inaugurated by Smt. Rajaseeli Reginald, Scientist G and Additional Director (Vehicle Electronics), CVRDE, DRDO, and Dr. Poonguzhali P, Scientist F and Associate Director, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai.
 
Dr. Ganesh Kumar C, Chairperson, ECE, delivered the welcome address, followed by Dr. V. Jayakumar, Principal, Sampoojya Swami Vinayamritananda Puri, Administrative Director, and Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean, School of Engineering. Dr. Jothilakshmi P, Dr. M. Ravichandran, and Dr. P. Mathivanan coordinated the conference.In her address, Dr. Poonguzhali P, Scientist F and Associate Director, C-DAC, Chennai, noted that “VEDAS technologies are widely applied in advanced systems such as modern combat vehicles, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has thoughtfully brought these domains together.”


 Springer will publish 31 of the accepted papers from this year's 326 submissions (45% acceptance rate). The Keynote speakers were Prof. Nikhilesh Chawla, Professor, Purdue University, USA; Prof. Firman Simanjuntak, Professor, University of Southampton, UK; Mr. Gaurav Sarraf, Founder, Think Robotics, USA; and Dr. Vamsi K. Palukuru, Senior Researcher, Core IoT Technologies, Finland. The conference is a platform for advancing research and collaboration in an emerging technological zone.
