Q:   What is the Berhampur University admission process?
A: 

Berhampur University admissions are a multi-step procedure. It begins with the release of the application form. Admission to most of the university PG programmes is entrance-based. In addition, it is necessary that candidates applying for admission meet the respective course eligibility criteria. More details around each of the admission stage are provided below:

STEP 1: Eligible students can apply for the desired course by completing the application process. Berhampur University admission form can be downloaded from the university's official website or a printout can be taken from the brochure as well. Aspirants should fill in all the details carefully. The application fee payment can further be done online through the SAMS portal.

STEP 2: Admission to the UG courses is mostly merit-based. For PG courses, admission is through the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET). For MBA, MCA and MPharm, OJEE score is accepted. Additionally, Berhampur University admission to the MSc Biotechnology course is based on a GAT-B score. Candidates who are shortlisted are informed through an intimation letter.

STEP 3: Selected students are required to appear for the Berhampur University counselling. On completion of counselling, seats are allotted to the candidates after verification.

No, Berhampur University does not offer direct admission. Candidates are first required to apply for the course of their choice and then participate in the selection rounds. The university considers CPET score for admission to PG courses. For MPharm, OJEE score is considered for admission. Besides, the selection for MSc Biotechnology is based on GAT-B score. Satisfied with the facility.
Placements: There were less placement programs, they were only performing fests and functions and conducting selection programs. Less number of people got placements. Self-financing batches were offered with placement programs, and less students got qualified.
Infrastructure: Food quality was decent. Classrooms and library were good, and they were clean and easily accessible. In the library, books were easily available. There were many seats to study. They issued books whichever books we wanted, and they only want an identity card.
Faculty: An average passing percentage was 55%. Teachers taught very good, and their behaviour was good. Teachers were so highly qualified. They had higher qualifications. Teaching was more than average because they were just coming to class for attendance.
Other: Sociology course was so helpful in studying society.

In the end, it's a 10/10 college.
Placements: In the BCA course, 80% of students get placed with good companies like Tech Mahindra, L&T, and Deloitte. The highest package is 8.93 LPA, and the lowest is 4.56 LPA. Top recruiter companies are Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, L&T, LTIMindtree, etc.
Infrastructure: There's a 24/7 electricity and water supply. The meals, which include morning breakfast, midday meal, and night meal, are all excellent. There's also Wi-Fi available in both the hostel and the college. Classrooms are advanced, with projector classes. Additionally, AI-based training sessions happen every 6 months for every student.
Faculty: Teachers here are completely knowledgeable persons; you can also learn things other than your studies. In MIPS Rayagada, the BCA and B.Sc. Agriculture courses are best for students, as they can be studied at an affordable cost per year. The pass percentage is between 70-80%.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion and interest in it. It's pretty simple, and you can easily understand any subject because the teachers are very excellent. There's nothing to improve, it's already at a high level.

Placements: This college did not provide any placement opportunities to students. College was only for completing the degree. I chose this college just to complete my bachelor degree so that I could complete my masters in some other college. No such companies visit this college.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure was good. Library had an ample amount of books for studies. There was no on-campus hostel. Students either stay in PG or study from their own homes. Classrooms were in good condition.
Faculty: There were 2 exams per semester and the level of exam varied from moderate to hard. This course provided a vast field of experience so I chose this course to pursue my degree. The curriculum prepared us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. Exams were conducted two times and exams were moderate to hard level. Faculty members were good. They were supportive.

Placements: 70% of students are getting placement from this college, as per my knowledge. Highest package from my batch is 5 LPA. Most students are getting the opportunity to work in a government hospital like MKCG Hospital. This curriculum vitae is suitable for a degree in nursing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is amazing and calm for studying. There is availability of Wi-Fi in each department to use unlimited. The classroom is well organized and proactive, with well-equipped facilities to showcase the experiential. There is a library.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified and excellent in teaching. Their way of teaching is just practical, related to real life. The semester exams are quite tough to get a good CGPA. Here, teaching quality is well-deserved for meritorious students. This college is suitable.

An interesting institute to study nursing.
Placements: 70% of students are getting a placement from this college. From our department, B.Sc. nursing students are getting the opportunity to work with various government hospitals like SKCG Hospital. Basically, students are getting a package of 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this university is just awesome, and a better secret area, and a calm area. There is a Wi-Fi facility available here. A well-stocked library is present. We have our nursing lab with well-settled equipment in an organized manner. Classrooms are also well organized.
Faculty: Teaching faculty is excellent in Teaching. They are well supportive in each and every field of work. Teachers are well qualified and experienced in teaching. Semester exams are very hard as they are based on real-life techniques. Pass percentage is 40%.

Our college is decent. There is no such placement.
Placements: There is no placement in our course. There are no such packages provided after the completion of bachelor in science (botany honours). Students do not get internships from our course. No roles are offered in our course. There is no company coming to our college.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are decent classrooms. There are 3-4 smart boards in the whole college. Wi-Fi speed at the college is decent. The library has many books but the library staff do not give the books. There is no such hostel in our college, and no field for playing.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are very helpful. They are knowledgeable. They teach us very nicely. But I don't know whether they are qualified or not. This course curriculum is relevant. It does not make the students ready for the industry. The semester exam is very tough.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the biological science. There is improvement in the practical class. There are no such events and fests in our college. The scholarship is provided yearly.
