Bhartiya Vidyapeeth has received a ranking of 59th by NIRF 2025 (University category). Internationally, Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune has got 330 (QS Asian University Rankings - Southern Asia 2025) and 1001-1100 (QS Asian University Rankings 2025). Bharti University Pune established in 1964 is a private university. The university has got recognition by the Gov. of India. Vidya Bharti University Pune is accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade. All the have received approval from the UGC and respective statutory councils. Bhartiya Vidyapeeth Pune Maharashtra is a member of AIU and the ACU.
There are two Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune campus, namely the Pune Dhankawadi campus and the Pune Erandwane campus. Bharati Vidyapeeth History
Some of the historical facts of the Bharati University Pune are given below:
- 1963: Dr. Patangrao Kadam became deeply concerned about most of the Maharashtrian students who couldn’t score well in national entrance exams for the National Defence Academy and other competitive exams
- 1964: The university came into existence in the old part of Pune city.
- 1996: On the recommendation of the UGC, the Government of India granted the status of "Deemed to be University" to a group of 12 colleges of Bharati Vidyapeeth. This was done to recognise the academic excellence of the university
- 26th April 1996: A red-letter day for the BVP Pune family and its founder, Dr. Patangrao Kadam
- 2005: The Government of India brought the seven colleges of Bharati Vidyapeeth located in various cities within the purview of Bhartiya Vidya Peeth as its constituent colleges

Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune has two campuses: Pune Dhankawadi campus and Pune Erandwane campus. Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune has many facilities to fulfil the needs of its students and staff. BVDU Pune infrastructure includes a hostel, gymnasium, library, etc.
BVDU Pune facilities include sports facilities and for this, there is a large ground available for all the students. Every campus of BVU has a well-equipped Gymkhana. The students are provided with all the sports equipment. The students have participated in various sports activities at the university, state and national levels. Banking and ATM facilities are provided by the university to its students and staff. Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune Dhankawadi campus has eight hostels. Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune Erandwane campus has 3 auditoriums.
Bharati Vidyapeeth provide all the modern amenities. The institute has a separate hostel facility for boys and girls, a well-equipped gym, a library, etc. Bharati Vidyapeeth library is open for 16 hours a day and offers books and journals in every field. It has a large reading room for students' academic and research purposes.
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Pune hostel facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls and the capacity to accommodate more than 200 people each. The furniture in the hostel rooms is good quality and includes fans, tube lights, lockable cabinets, cots, chairs, and tables. Every hostel features a sizable dining area where meals are served for an affordable price. There is a recreation room with a coloured TV in every hostel. There are facilities for Internet, telephone/fax, Xerox, and indoor gaming. To offer students with hot water, solar heating systems are built in each hostel. On campus, there are medical facilities.
