Love BITS Pilani. Academics are tiring, but a great college to be in.
Placements: About 85% of the students in our course are placed. The rest generally go for further studies or end up doing something else. The highest package is offered by TRC, which was upwards of Rs. 2 crores, whereas the average package goes around 22-28 LPA. Top recruiters for my course, which is an integrated M.Sc. Economics are finance-related companies such as JPMC or Goldman Sachs. Almost all the students get internships due to the PS model in BITS Pilani.
Infrastructure: All the infrastructure related to academics is very well built and maintained. We have a huge, beautiful library and a lot of other facilities. Facilities for various sports such as Tennis, Hockey, Basketball, Football, Snooker, and various other sports, including the common ones, are available. The hostel and mess are not that great, but they serve well enough for all the students and are well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and teach really well. Even though the curriculum is very interesting, the only thing is that academics are a little hard and take up a lot of time. The exam levels in mid-semester and end-semester are pretty difficult, and even the average goes high because of a lot of really smart students on campus.
Other: The reason I chose this course is that I am personally interested in finance, but I also wanted to do engineering. This course provided me with both, as it is a dual degree. There are events going on almost every week. We have three major fests, Apogee, Oasis, and BOSM. All the fests are really fun, and there is enough room for a lot of fun activities.

Impressed by the campus, placements, and legacy of BITS Pilani.
Placements: Placements are doing really well, at the level of top IITs. The official average package for CSE is 44 LPA, according to Reddit sources. The campus has a cutoff barrier of 10–12 LPA, which means this is the minimum any company is allowed to offer, hence companies like TCS are debarred from coming for placements.
Infrastructure: Other than one hostel, the rest of the hostels are good. The new academic block is very well built, and most classrooms are modern. Labs and research facilities are all good.
Faculty: Exams are difficult, but the course curriculum is decent. They are trying to adapt to new methods, such as making engineering drawing digital, and have introduced some courses to counter mental pressure. Overall, the teaching staff are good, and the system of tutorials is very effective.
Other: Oasis is said to be the second-largest student-run fest after IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Pilani Campus - Batch of 2027
4.8
5.0Placements4.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
Overview of BITS Pilani, campus life, academics, placements, extra curriculars.
Placements: The placements are one of the best if you're looking to graduate in B.Tech core roles. Mechanical roles offer >12 LPA and electrical roles reaching an average of 30 LPA. IT placements offer one of the highest placements, with most people getting around 25-30 LPA, and the top companies offering more than 50 LPA. Around 85% of the batch gets placed with a deviation of 5%, and the placement amount usually depends not just on CGPA but rather on an overall resume, soft skills, as well as roles played in clubs (position of responsibility). Estimate for mechanical core: 15-18 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty decent with air-conditioned classrooms, a well-maintained library with a lot of resources that you can issue for free with a college id. The Wi-Fi connectivity spans almost the whole campus, but mobile data connectivity is limited. Hostels are decent, common washrooms are a problem, though, but overall 8.5/10 relatively to other colleges. Well mess food is a problem, but we all get used to it. Sports facilities are great. There's a student activity center where one can enjoy almost all indoor sports, and outdoor sports can be played at well maintained ground available.
Faculty: Most teachers are highly qualified, usually have done lots of great research, especially if you're looking to do some projects under them. Teaching material and quality are helpful, and usually the tests are quite challenging, requiring a thorough knowledge of the course. Attendance is less strict than in other colleges, and one gets a lot of opportunities to build their profile in terms of extracurriculars. Usually, the passing criteria for exams are not much, but to get a good grade, consistency is required. Regarding relevancy, almost every course's content is updated every year, related to new technologies available.
Other: I chose mechanical because of getting into the Pilani campus mostly, and less interest in the Phoenix and M.Sc. branches. The best part about mechanical is the broadness of the course, with various things to learn from fluids, heat transfers, manufacturing, and opportunities in non-core roles. The events at BITs are one of the best, with Oasis being the most popular. The crowd is lively. Nightlife is good. The campus is situated in a small town, so not much to do outside the campus. Scholarships are available: merit and merit cum need. More information is available on BIT's website.

Worth it to take admission here.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students are placed through the campus recruitment process. The top recruiting company from my course is many product-based companies. The highest package from my course is 1 CR. The lowest package is 7 LPA, and the average package is 15 LPA. Almost 60% of the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of this college are awesome. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college campus, classrooms, library, and labs. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is top-notch. Medical facilities are also available 24/7, and sports and games are also good.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable; they also help those students who are not able to grasp the concepts they are taught in the classroom. Teaching quality is top-notch. The course designed by BITS Pilani is relevant and industry-ready. The semester exams are good if you understand the concepts clearly.
Other: I chose this course because I am keenly interested in software systems. The best thing about my course is we can learn along with the course. The only thing about my course that needs to be improved is the scheduled classes. Events, fests, and the campus are of the best quality, no doubt.

B.E. in Computer Science, Pilani Campus - Batch of 2027

Satisfied by its performance in placements, good campus life, and personality development!
Placements: According to recent statistics, the placement scenario is quite impressive. Most of the students in the passing-out batch got a pre-placement offer during their Practice School 2. About % of students have been placed. The top recruiting companies for the ongoing year were Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Visa, Adobe, and Cisco. The highest package was around 60 Lacs while the lowest package was around 8 Lacs. The median package was about 30 Lacs. Our college offers internships in the 2nd and 3rd years which are called Practice School 1 and 2 respectively. Every student gets exposure to work and opportunities to do projects through these internships. Top roles offered in CSE were SDE, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, and full-stack developer.
Infrastructure: Labs are pretty good and well-maintained. BITS Wi-Fi also works efficiently. Classrooms are spacious and air-conditioned. The library is a very nice place to study at during summers as hostel rooms essentially do not have air-conditioning. Food in the mess is vegetarian with non-veg available on Sundays.
Faculty: Professors at BITS are well qualified and knowledgeable, most of them known to be doing or have done research work in their field. Students can also consult with them or ask doubts at their chambers. The course curriculum is relevant and updated. These courses make students industry-ready. Semester exams are very competitive due to the relatively grading system.

Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2027
4.4
4.0Placements4.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
A really good place to develop your personality as a whole.
Placements: My course is M.Sc. Chemistry and the course major students go into non-tech and consulting roles and a few go into research and Ph.D. in Chemistry. Placement packages range from 10 to 50 LPA and the average package is 18 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Jio, Deloitte, PWC, JP Morgan and KPMG. In SI, around 250 students from a batch of 1100 got internships. In my course, the top roles (if you proceed to go for core) offered are that of Chemical researcher, Synthesis and Lab specials.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well furnished having fully functional AC, efficient lighting and seating places. Labs in the first year are somewhat renovated but the research labs are very advanced and innovative. Wi-Fi works good, just some productive services like Netflix and WhatsApp video calls are banned. The Library is very spacious and has separate places and tables for studying and books. It also has a relaxing space to sit and has facilities like coffee, tea and snacks from vending machines which can be consumed in the sitting area only, otherwise fine is imposed.
Faculty: The professors here are very qualified and have a diverse teaching methodology. They teach the whole syllabus in a systematic manner and follow the course handouts given initially. Sometimes the classes can be a bit difficult to understand due to increased level of difficulty and then people start getting bored and skipping classes. The semester exams are on the tougher side always and you have to think deeply or memorize in order to solve them. It's not a piece of cake anymore.
Other: I chose Chemistry as I have an interest in the subject since JEE time and wanted to learn and explore it in this college. The best things here include faculty members having expertise and great research experience in their respective fields and we get to learn a lot through them. The things which could be improved are the quiz and assessment timings and adding practices to maintain attendance in the classes. This college is the best place if you want to have a huge exposure to an intellectual peer group, all possible extra curriculars ranging from singing to drama to dance to managing events are provided here. All of them are adequately active and contribute and collaborate together for the functioning of fests. The connectivity is very good in the campus, all the places are within a 10 minutes walk and surroundings have a plethora of greenery and trees.

hi,

With a BITSAT score of 202/450, getting B.Tech Electrical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani main campuses may be difficult because EE cutoffs are usually higher. However, admission chances can vary depending on the campus, iteration rounds, and yearly cutoff trends.
