A truly mesmerizing experience exceeding my expectations.
Placements: The management department has a placement committee of its own. The joint efforts of the placement committee and the management department has seen the students getting placed in their desired sectors and have been offered high salary packages, with the average of around 10 LPA for the 2016-18 batch and 17 LPA being the highest, and the figures are subjective to increase every year. Students were offered internships in various companies such as KPMG, RBI, TATA Motors, H&R Block etc. With an average stipend of Rs 20k and the highest being Rs 35k. Students were offered roles in various areas such as BD, BD-CIS, Product Efficiency Engineer, Subject Matter Experts, Research Analyst, Associate consultant etc. Placements for students of batch 2017-19 are underway with almost 70% of the batch placed until now in illustrious companies like Accenture, Maybank, KPMG etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread under 328 acres and the campus is self-contained and has all the amenities and facilities that befit the international standard. The institute has been offered the title of ' Institute of Eminence' in 2018. The hostels for both girls and boys are having new infrastructure with spacious rooms and also compounds for volleyball and tennis. The hostels have LAN and Wi-Fi facilities and the mess have a varied menu suiting both vegetarian and non-vegetarian needs managed by a student mess committee. Each hostel has a separate canteen in its compound where students can have delicious delicacies throughout the day. The campus has a separate medical center and ambulance service round the clock. The campus also has a magnificent library complex with a floor area of 65000 sq. Ft and a rich collection of more than 2,30,000 volumes of books and manuscripts. The campus has varied sports facilities which include cricket, basketball, volleyball, hockey, athletics, Track and field, swimming, billiards, badminton, table-tennis, squash and many more. The labs and classrooms in the campus have world-class infrastructure and are available round the clock to the students.
Faculty: The course is designed in a way that it covers all the aspects of managerial studies. BITS MBA is generally regarded as a general management programme and electives being offered to be chosen in the second and third semester. The teaching pedagogy is such that it includes looking into real-life case studies and business concepts being discussed in various lectures which ensure learning of all the concept in a practical manner. The faculty members are widely experienced in teaching, research, and training with some of them from IIM background constantly guiding the students in every followup of theirs throughout the course. The current student-faculty ratio is 1:5 which gives ample time for them to look and help students with their problems.
Other: Bits MBA offers an eight-month integrated exposure to the industries in the form of summer internships (2months) and practice school (6months). The practice school is a distinguishing feature of the MBA programme at Bits, Pilani. After completing the first three semesters, the students are required to undertake the PS programme in the last semester. It provides an invaluable industry experience to the students before working in companies with a high chance of getting a PPO. It provides students an edge over other institutes students. The culture here is predominantly student-driven, which includes a number of clubs and committees comprising of a numbered students of the batch working tirelessly to achieve the goals and vision of the department on a whole. Various activities like guest lectures and the management fest are organized by the students which provide an invaluable experience to organize and handle events and pressure situations helpful in the real world and provide a true sense of management.

The college is a good mix of everything.
Placements: The placements for DOM BITS Pilani are handled by a placement committee, and that placement committee is a student-driven body. The placement season starts from September and goes till December. The average salary package offered for 2018 batch was around 9.5 LPA with companies like Credit Suisse, Accenture, Indiamart, KPMG, OYO, and many more recruiting. The placements for the 2019 batch are underway with Accenture, KPMG, and Indiamart already visited for recruitment and many more expected to visit. DOM BITS provides students with two opportunities to be industry ready before joining a company. There is a two-month internship programme at the end of the second semester through which the college provides internship opportunities. Students have done their internships in organisations like Tata Motors, and Reserve Bank of India, etc. At the end of third-semester, students have to spend a whole semester (4th semester) in practice school, in which they are trained for around six months.
Infrastructure: The college has the state-of-art infrastructure. Being located in a small city like Pilani, one never feels that they are missing out on something. The classes are air-conditioned and equipped with all the modern amenities. The library contains books to satisfy every bibliophile, and the library timings will be extended to as late as 1 AM during the exams. The hostels are newly renovated, and the mess offers healthy and variety of food items to cater to the needs of people from different demographics. There are sports facilities for badminton, tennis, football, and cricket, etc. There is an auditorium available on the campus where students can watch movies at very low prices. Along with these, there are food joints which are available all along the night, and they serve fresh and tasty food as late as up to 2 AM.
Faculty: The degree provided by the department is a generalised MBA degree. Students are given the flexibility to choose their electives related to the field of marketing, finance, HR, and operations. The faculty members are qualified, and some of them are even from IIMs. The teaching methodology includes teaching theoretical concepts, solving case studies, and doing various project works throughout the year.

A short De-tour to BITS-Pilani.
Placements: BIts Pilani has always seen 100 per cent placement in the past. This MBA programme has an added advantage of having an additional practice school in the curriculum where they get pop. The previous year placement ranging from the highest of 17.5lpa to the lowest of 5.5 LPA, median 10 LPA, top 25 percentage 12.5 LPA top 50 per cent 11.2 LPA. For the present batch, the summer internship is in progress, the maximum is 30 k and the minimum is 12.5 k and its still in progress.
Infrastructure: Bits Pilani is spread over 328 acres. The campus is self contained and houses all the amenities and buildings that benefits an institute of international standards. The programs are fully residential with 11 hostel for boys and one complex hostel for girls. Around 4500 students live in the campus along with 350 faculty member with a vast pool of support staff. The campus also has a huge library complex contains around 2.3 Lacs of books and manuscripts.
Faculty: BIts Pilani curriculum includes foundation courses on 360 degrees of management methodologies and functional management. The MBA curriculum syncs well with the demands of the industry and it's being constantly improvised as per the changes in the professional world. It is designed around the cross-functional domain in a way the contemporary organisations work. Herein, students are encouraged to approach the problem by analysing them to the broadest possible circle of skills and resources so as to have innovative solutions. A wide range of electives is integrated for curriculum. At the end of the third semester, each student undergoes 6 months internship (PRACTICAL SCHOOL) and undertakes live industry project. And submits a report summarising the whole project work. This last vital step allows students to strengthen their analytical skills and to apply their acquired knowledge and skills at the real workplace. At BITS, we believe that successful students are a result of a collection of faculty members and superior student-faculty ratio. Our faculty members have extensive experience in teaching, research and training. Our strength is a reflection of their skills, innovation and drive. The department has a healthy Faculty-Student ratio of 1:5.
Other: Year after year Pilani hosts an array of cultural and technical fests breathtaking in magnitude and impact. Whether it is the most awaited BITS open sports meet (BOSM), our ground breaking cultural fest OASIS or our signature opus tech fest APOGEE, our events calendar remain abuzz all-round the year, giving students an opportunity to experience life the BITSian way! And no difference in the annual management fest INTERFACE organised and conducted entirely by the MBA students.

It is an amazing campus, but focus is needed on MBA.
Placements: There is a placement committee which supervises the placements. Our seniors had a decent placement with the highest package of 17 LPA, the average of 10 LPA and the lowest of 8 LPA. Roles of business analyst, marketing analyst, etc., were offered. The companies like TCS, KPMG, etc., visited our campus. Internship offers are average. There needs to be a lot of improvement in this area.
Infrastructure: We don't have Wi-Fi facility; rather, we have LAN. Both AC and non AC classrooms are there. There is a large ground for sports. The food available is average. Hostel rooms are pretty spacious but require some more maintenance. Restrooms need shower, and rooms need heaters during winters when the temperatures drop down to zero degrees.
Faculty: We have very knowledgeable and helpful staff members. Everyone is a PhD holder from top institutes of India. They follow good interactive teaching. We are provided with many reading materials which expose us to the real world. There could be some more improvement in the course curriculum.
Other: The campus is beautiful, but it is situated in a remote location and is 4-5 hours away from Delhi. Fests are organised with great fun and frolic. Cultural events take place frequently. Our college organises India's second largest fest called Oasis.
