BITS Pilani MBA Highlights 2027
BITS Pilani offers a two-year full-time MBA course at the PG level. BITS Pilani MBA is a full-time residential programme. This course is offered with one specialisation, called Business Analytics. Final selection will be based on overall performance in BAAT, Personal Interview, and CAT/ XAT/ GMAT (if available), along with prior work experience and previous academic history. Some of the key highlights related to MBA from BITS Pilani are given below:
Selection criteria: BITS Pilani MBA admission criteria is entrance-based and depend on candidates' performance in the BAAT/ CAT/ XAT/ GMAT exams, followed by a PI round. The registration window for 2027 is expected to start in Dec 2027.
Eligibility: BITS Pilani MBA eligibility is to have completed graduation of a minimum three-year duration in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Candidates must have studied at least one subject in Mathematics or Statistics at Class 12 level or higher.
Accepted exam: It conducts its own entrance test called Business Analytics Aptitude Test (BAAT) for selecting students for the MBA course. It also accepts valid entrance exam scores, such as CAT/ XAT/ GMAT.
Placements: For the MBA batch of 2026, the Highest package offered was INR 21.6 LPA, and the average package offered was INR 16.15 LPA. The median salary was recorded at INR 18.5 LPA.
Fees: BITS Pilani fees for MBA ranged from INR 33.6 K to INR 11.66 lakh. This is the total tuition fee for the complete duration of the course. Other components, such as Hostel, one-time payment and other fees, will also be charged separately to the students.

BITS Pilani MBA Admission & Application Process 2027
BITS Pilani MBA admission process is entrance-based. Students have to apply first. After the application process, eligible students are required to participate in the subsequent selection process. Step 1: BITS Pilani MBA Application Process 2027
The application forms are available online on the verified website. The form enquires about basic academic and personal details, and the fee to apply is INR 3300. The step-by-step application process is as follows for BAAT:
- Go to the official website for BAAT
- Click on the 'Register now' button under the general links.
- Complete the one-time registration to generate a User ID and password
- After completing the one-time registration, an application number is generated. Candidates can now proceed to fill the online application form
- After filling in all the details, candidates can choose up to 16 exam city preferences
- Upload all required documents and proceed to pay the BITS BAAT application fee.
The following documents are required while filling out the form:
- Passport-sized photo
- Scanned copy of signature
- Class 10 mark sheet
- Class 12 mark sheet
- Qualifying degree mark sheet
- Qualifying Degree certificate (if available)
- Proof of date of birth (Standard X mark sheet or certificate)
- GMAT Scorecard (if available)

Step 2: BAAT Entrance Exam
Aspirants must apply for the Business Analytics Aptitude Test (BAAT) on time and appear for the test as per schedule. The total duration of the test is 3 hours. There is no sectional time limit. The test comprises the following sections:
- Management Aptitude Section: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning
- Analytics Aptitude Section.
Step 3: Selection Criteria
Based on the BAAT scorecard, applicants are invited online for GD/PI WAT/Extempore, etc. The applications are scanned for eligibility. Selection criteria are mentioned in the table below along with their weightage.

Step 4: Release of Iteration Result & Fee Payment
After considering all the important aspects, the authority will release the round-wise Iteration result, which consists of a list of selected students. After every Iteration round, selected candidates are required to pay the required admission fee to confirm their seats. Based on the availability of seats, another Iteration round will take place.

While applying for the MBA in Business Analytics at BITS Pilani, candidates may be required to provide proof of work experience that verifies employment and duration of service. Freshers without any work experience can also apply for admission.
BAAT is a Computer-Based-Test that is conducted across physical test centers. BITS Pilani provides scholarships to its MBA students in order to continue their studies. The institute provides various scholarships to students; some of them are as follows:
- Tuition Fee Scholarship: Under this scheme, students who managed to get a minimum aggregate of 70 and above in the qualifying examination will get a merit scholarship of 20% on the first semester tuition fee.
