Central University of Punjab offers a total of 390 seats for its MA course. The seats are further subdivided across the multiple MA specialisations, namely Education (15 seats), Journalism and Mass Communication (35 seats), History (35 seats), Economics (40 seats), and more. To secure the MA seats, candidates must participate in the Central University of Punjab counseling process, conducted by the University based on the CUET PG 2025 exam scores.

To be eligible candidates must have registered in CUPB for any programme are eligible to apply for the scheme. As per the CUPB cutoff 2024 for CUET PG, the cutoff scores ranged between 15 and 241, among which M.A. in Psychology was the most competitive PG course. The least competitive course was M.Tech Computer Science & Technology (Cyber Security) with a Round 4 cutoff score of 15 for the General AII India category students.

Since there is a change in the exam pattern of the CUET PG 2024 exam. Now the total marks for which the exam will be conducted have been reduced from 400 to 300 marks as the total number of questions has also been reduced from 100 to 75.

So the CUET PG cutoff will be prepared out of a total of 300 marks depending on the no of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam and their respective categories.
