Central University of Punjab MSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Central University of Punjab's MSc is offered via different departments across multiple specialisations, including Geography, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences & Technology, Molecular Medicine, and more. The postgraduate-level course is offered in a full-time mode lasting for two years. Further, the students will be awarded a Diploma certificate in their preferred specialisations after successful completion of the first two semesters, along with a skill development course at the University level. Central University of Punjab is accredited grade “A” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Admission to the MSc course is based on the merit of the students in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. Aspirants willing to apply for Central University of Punjab admission 2025 for MSc must register themselves for CUET PG exams and appear for the same. Candidates who qualify for the entrance examination can then register for the University of Punjab counseling rounds for seat allocation. The Central University of Punjab MSc admission dates 2025 are inclusive of the CUET PG admission dates 2025. As per the official website of NTA, CUET PG, the application process was from January 2, 2025, to February 1, 2025. THE CUET PG 2025 exam will be conducted from March 13, 2025, to April 1, 2025, in three shifts. Central University of Punjab MSc admission mainly includes the CUET PG exam's elements, as the PG admission is entirely based on the CUET PG exam. Therefore, candidates must follow all the steps involved in CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test). Find below the step-wise Central University of Punjab admission process:
Step 1: Central University of Punjab CUET PG Registration 2025
The 2025 application process for admission to the Central University of Punjab for MSc starts with the registration process of CUET PG. The first step is to register for the CUET PG by visiting the official website of the exam. CUET PG registration is an online process. Candidates willing to appear for the exam must fill out the CUET PG application form on the NTA website. After registering and paying the application fee, candidates have to wait for the admit cards and the exam dates to be released.
Step 2: Counselling Process
The counselling process for the MSc course will be conducted by the Central University of Punjab. The candidate is required to fill out an application Form separately to participate in the counselling of the Central University of Punjab. The detailed schedule and modalities of online counseling, including application forms, shall be posted on the University website after the declaration of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) result. Depending on the availability of vacant seats at that particular university for any course, the MSc 2025 counselling rounds will vary.
Step 3: Seat Allocations
Central University of Punjab MSc seats will be allocated based on their CUET PG ranking and also on the available seats at the University. A candidate with a higher CUET PG 2024 cutoff will be given a higher priority than a candidate with a lower cutoff. Upon acceptance into a college and program, students must pay the admission fee.
The seats for many of the courses might get vacant because the candidates got upgraded to other courses or might leave the seat, which causes the conduction of one more round, which is called Spot Round/ Direct Admissioln. Those who would not be allotted a seat in the original counselling rounds can participate in the spot counselling by registering on the official websites of the Central University of Punjab.
Step 4: Final Seat Confirmation by Candidates
Next, students must pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seats. The Central University of Punjab MSc fee is around INR 8,000 for two years. The tuition fee does not include the CUET PG application fee and the hostel fees. The schedule of registration and orientation will be notified later, after the declaration of CUET PG results.
