Review of Miranda House, University of Delhi.
Placements: Students should score a 10 CGPA to get placed in our college. Placements are not held because of the lockdown. Our college provides average placements. DRDO scientists and some research scholars visited our college to recruit students. They offered good opportunities to work with them.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best. The hostel facilities are good. Our campus is very clean and hygienic. Our college is surrounded by greenery. Our college has the best canteen. It is very famous. They provide a variety of food items like samosa and dhokla.
Faculty: Our faculty members are supportive, helpful, and caring. Semester exams are good. If you study well, you will get marks. You will not achieve things by joining the college, you have to work hard by yourself to have good grades. They push us to explore many things.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it.

My experience at this college.
Placements: There were placements for every course. The college has a placement policy. The college maximum placement was 70 to 80%. Institution will guide the process. Required training given for the place provided industrial exposure, training program, and skill development classes provided.
Infrastructure: The course was no doubt world-class and competitive to any international school. School even had internationally renowned visiting faculty members who trained us on the most recent research topics. Courses like Environment, Development Economics, Game Theory, and Industrial Economics were some of the value-added subjects along with the specialisation in Econometric give a competitive advantage to students. There were several post-graduate hostel facilities at Delhi University. Hostels were awarded based on merit too, and the facilities were really good and cheap. Canteens were available 24X7.
Faculty: Faculty members were terrific. They were rated the highest in the RePec rankings for economics in India based on high-quality research published in extremely prestigious peer-reviewed journals. The 2 year post-graduation here was very challenging than other colleges. There were 4 semesters in DSE (Delhi School of Economics) and in each semester there were 2 mid-terms and 1 end term examination. Course structure in DSE was very hectic. Passing rate here was almost 50-60%. It was very good institution if we want to go into research.

Q:   Can I get direct admission in Miranda House?
A:

Admission to all the courses offered by Miranda House is entrance-based. While Miranda House accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BA, BSc and BCom, admission to all the PG courses will be subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2023. The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU. However, the university still accepts ECA quota admissions. While there is no information on direct admissions, students are advised to reach out to the admission office of Miranda House for any details on direct admissions.

Q:   How much percentage is required for admission to Miranda House?
A:

Up until 2021, UG admission at Miranda House were completely based on the merit scores obtained by the students in Class 12. Till that time, General category students with less 90 had almost nil chances of getting merit-based admission at the college. While the minimum eligibility percentage was very low, final admission was extremely competitive at Miranda House owing to its skyrocketing cutoffs. However, starting 2022, this scene has changed drastically. Final admission now for UG courses has nothing to do with the percentage obtained by students in Class 12. To be eligible students are only required to pass Class 12, appear for CUET UG and qualify it. Those who will meet the cutoff will be offered admission here.
