CGC University is very wonderful.
Placements: 80% students are placed in this course. The highest package at the university is 1cr. And the lowest is 5 lakhs on average. In my course, the top recruiting companies are Tata and Capgemini. Most students achieve more than 80% in my course at Axis, WNS, Capgemini, and other companies.
Infrastructure: There are Wi-Fi facilities day and night for students as well as for faculty members. The network is a little bit slow for more students. There is a good environment and more cafeterias. My campus is very beautiful. There are more labs, classrooms, and a library in each block.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well qualified. They are very supportive. They are also providing us with trips so we can learn things practically, and they are very supportive; they also encourage us to participate in other activities.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Fd because I want to own my business in the fashion field.

They have the facilities which student require. There are mainly 3 students in one room there, but it varies if there are more students in the hostel.

Placements: I am from the B.Tech CSE batch 2023-27 at CGC University Mohali. The placement rate for our course is around 85-90%. The highest package offered was around 45-50 LPA, the average package is 5-6 LPA, and the lowest is around 3-3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Amazon, Deloitte and IBM. Around 70-80% of students got internships from the college in companies like TCS, Infosys and many startups. Top roles offered are Software Developer, Full Stack Developer, Data Analyst, and QA Engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the CSE department is very good. We have high-speed Wi-Fi across campus, modern computer labs with the latest systems, smart classrooms, and a big central library with all books and digital access. Hostel facilities are also good, with clean rooms, 24/7 security and Wi-Fi. The mess food is decent and hygienic, with a different menu daily, and the canteen has many options. Medical facilities, a sports ground, a gym, a basketball court and all games are available on campus. Overall, the campus is clean and well maintained.
Faculty: The faculty at CGC University Mohali is very experienced and supportive. Most teachers are PhD holders and have good industry knowledge. Teaching quality is good. They explain concepts with practical examples and are always ready to clear doubts. The course curriculum is updated and very relevant; it includes the latest technologies like AI, ML, and Cloud Computing which makes us industry ready. We have regular workshops, industrial visits and seminars. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty. Pass percentage is very high, around 95%.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE because I have an interest in coding and technology, and CGC University is known for good placements in CSE. The best things about the course are practical learning, good labs, and placement support. Things that can be improved are more focus on advanced coding and more core company visits. Campus life is very vibrant and enjoyable. The crowd is friendly, with students from all over India. Many events and fests like Parivartan, DJ nights, and tech fests happen every year. The campus surroundings are peaceful, and connectivity to Chandigarh is good via buses. The college also provides scholarships via CGC CUET and extracurricular activities.
