Hello! My younger sister is pass out from Chandigarh University B.Sc fashion design and honestly she is getting to learn a lot and she is getting a lot of practical exposure also. As far as I remember, in fashion design she used to study subjects like Fundamental of Design, Communication in Design, Evolution of Design, Technical Drawing - 2D, Natural Materials, Visualisation and Representation, Apparel Manufacturing Technology, Pattern Making and Garment Construction (Men's Wear), CSR Internship, etc. Not only this, several workshops and seminars are also conducted in the department. The faculty is also really helpful, supportive and motivates a lot. She also used to tell me that they do practical learning in high-tech labs equipped with Industrial Sewing Machines, Textile Testing Machines, and Garment Construction Tools, mirroring real-world fashion production environments. The placements at the university are also unbelievable, students are placed across Delhi, Gurgaon, Mohali, Ludhiana and Mumbai. They have been recruited for various roles, including Designers, Fashion Stylists, Merchandisers and Fashion Consultants, etc and top companies like Reliance Retail Limited, Punjab and Mohali and leading brands like Arvind Fashions (Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein) hire students with amazing packages. My sister also tells me about other facilities at the university such as several food outlets, medical facilities, transport facilities and even the infrastructure is soo great and awesome.
