University provides hostel accommodation to boys and girls both and there is a wide variety to choose from, like single occupancy, double occupancy, quad occupancy, and also AC or non AC. The fees of course will vary depending on which hostel one chooses and it can vary from 25000 per year to about 100000 per year. In addition to this, students have to pay for food charges which are about INR 4000 per month. Perhaps being University in Gujarat they provide only vegetarian food in these hostels.

Charotar University of Science and Technology is differ from Mumbai University for B.Tech. Both are good colleges in their own way.

As per the claims made by the institute they have never gone below figure of 80% success rate for placement of their students. In fact in the recent past this figure has come up to 85%. Coming to your present query no JEE Mains is not a mandatory to seek admission in engineering undergraduate courses for this you may also do what is called as GUJCET. Of course the ranking obtained in JEE Mains is also acceptable for admissions in different engineering streams.

There are in total two rounds in GUJCET Counseling .This whole process is conducted by the admission committee of GUJCET. The rounds of counseling are as follows as:-

In Round 1, the candidate who have showed interest in the institution and got best ranks are considered.

Whereas in Round 2: The candidates who have not got there desired seats can opt in this.

After these two rounds if the seats are still vacant then there will a chance of some special rounds.
