Placements: For the 2024 batch at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, around 98% of students were placed. The highest package is 1.11 crore, the average is 8.5 Lacs, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, IBM, and Accenture, with roles in software, data analysis, business analysis, and digital marketing. About 70% of students secured internships with companies like LG Soft, Cognizant, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The course at Chitkara University offers modern facilities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a comprehensive library. Not worth it; you can get a better college.
Placements: The placement cell is not very active, and only a few companies visit during placement drives, mostly offering low packages. Students are often left to find jobs on their own. Internship opportunities are also limited and not well-organized by the college. Though the campus is decent, and there are occasional cultural fests and activities, these do little to compensate for the academic shortcomings. Hostels are average at best, especially when it comes to handling student grievances. Simple tasks like getting documents signed or issues with fee payments become unnecessarily long processes, with hygiene and food quality being constant concerns.
Infrastructure: Though the campus is decent, and there are occasional cultural fests and activities, these do little to compensate for the academic shortcomings. It's one of the best private universities in North. Placements are good. The average package during this year (2018-19) was around 7-12 LPA. It all depends on your skills. I would suggest you if you are not getting any govt. college then you can opt for Chitkara.

If you scored 60% and above in class 12th, then you can join Chitkara University. If you are overall percentage is 60% and above in your class 12th, then definitely you will get admission. All the best for your future.

It all depends on how good are your skills. As you also know there is a lot of crowd in computer science department in every engineering college also if you are studying from a reputed college your placement would easy as compared to one studying in a less reputed college.
