Christ University is amazing.

Placements: Placements are provided in the college. Companies like ANSR Source, Thomson Reuters, IBM, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, visit the campus for placements. Some teaching positions in higher secondary private schools were offered in 2016 and a few years before. Whoever is good enough in extracurricular activities with good academic record generally stands a chance to get placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Christ is just awesome. Be it classroom, playgrounds, food and cafeteria, grand auditorium, garden, library, labs, accommodation, everything stands out. It is a treat to be on a lovely campus that too in the heart of the bustling area of Bangalore. Any modern amenities that one can think of, Christ has it.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are friendly, helpful, and very good. The course curriculum is revised timely and has diversity. It keeps up with the variety of subjects required with the development of the domain. There are faculty with diverse interest. They guide students very well. They are always ready to help. New courses are introduced every year. There are also a lot of certificate courses which one can choose after their class hours. In applied economics, there are courses like behavioural economics, environmental economics, institutional economics, public economics, agricultural economics, gender economics, operations, maths, econometrics, micro, macro, urban economics and a range of other development and finance courses. There is a little scope to make the level higher provided it suits the majority in class. But it has enough rigour.

Other: Events and fests in Christ are conducted throughout the year. There is something to suit everyone interest. The number of talented clubs and associations that Christ has, I have not seen in any other campus in India. It is a treat to watch the dance and choir team perform. The drama team organises world-class plays. Campus crowd is the best in Bangalore. Just go inside the crowd once, and you will get the vibe. It is in the heart of Bangalore. Some of the most amazing malls and students areas are near Christ University. Christ has a fee waiver scholarship for meritorious poor students. Scholarships are awarded every year to the 3 best students of every class. Moreover, the gold medal is awarded to the deanery topper. The more I say about Christ, the lesser it would be. To conclude, I would say Christ is an opportunity. Make use of it, if you get it.

The college has well-educated faculty members with serving quality.

Placements: The total number of students placed was almost 40, with packages starting from 12 lakhs per annum to 25 lakhs. Top roles were offered in collaboration with the top 50 multinational companies. Approximately 80 percent of students secured internships with leading companies, and the experience was positive.

Infrastructure: The labs are in good condition with all necessary facilities and high-speed Wi-Fi. The hostel is well-maintained with clean washrooms and decent room facilities. The canteen food was delicious. Medical facilities at the college are also satisfactory.

Faculty: Teachers are well-trained and well-educated. They have good teaching skills. The teaching quality is good. Students are industry-ready. Semester exams are tough but good preparation makes the exam easy and the pass percentage is 90%. All is great and good with the staff.

Other: My aim was crystal clear to pursue this course at the same university. The best aspect of the course is the excellent placement opportunities, with no areas needing improvement.

Review of Christ University.

Placements: Students either go for corporate jobs (data analysis), banking sector jobs, or research-related jobs. Placements this year are not that great. The impact of the recession is definitely creating some issues. But our batch got help from the department for internships (which I am grateful for).

Infrastructure: There are multiple canteens all across the campus, so we will have a lot of options. The libraries in the college are well-maintained. But we cannot randomly play any sport on the ground. We should either have to be a part of a college team or get permission from the admin.

Faculty: The faculty members are great. Too many exams are conducted each semester, even for master's students, which can lead to a lot of frustration. There is no creativity when it comes to evaluating students. There are a lot of subjects that have a written exam for no reason and we have to score 50% overall in each subject.
