Our college has a lovely atmosphere for learning.

Placements: I don't know much about the current placement scenario because there are no pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies this year for recruitment. But there were other companies including accounting and BPO related jobs. The highest salary package offered this year is about 5 LPA - 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The campus has RO water and clean toilets. The drinking water from RO is cool and good in taste. Classes are well-equipped with projectors. Hostel facilites are affordable and easily accessible. There are 3 girls' hostels and 2 boys' hostels available for accommodation.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are helpful. They explain the topics thoroughly and clear our doubts. The reference books being used are as per NET syllabus. The course is relevant and is covered with the CSIR NET exam's point of view. It covers the majority of the NET topics. Semester exams are a bit tough. If you know the subjects well, you will pass with flying colours.

I am satisfied with college because of faculty members and the environment.

Placements: Around 60-80% of the students got placed from our course in good companies. Almost 80% of the students got internships from our course. The top role offered in our course was of the research analyst. The highest salary package offer ranges from 7 LPA - 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and facilities were provided in our college. Games and sports were well-organised in different departments. Labs and library were spacious. Different books were available in the library. The food served in the hostel was good and healthy. The quality of the food was checked by the staff weekly.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful and motivating. They used to train and guide students whenever required. They also provided practical knowledge in the labs. The course curriculum was relevant for hardworking students, and it makes students ready for the industry.

Other: The campus crowd was normal. Events and cultural fests were organised once in a year on the campus. Extracurricular activities like poster making, debates, quiz were organised in the departments by teachers.

Review of Institute of Bio-Sciences and Bio-Technology, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University.

Placements: I am not aware of placements until now, but there is a placement cell in our university. Before 6 months of our final exams, students have to submit their record there. After the record submission, authorities will contact students with the most relevant job.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus and also our hostel is great. I like the atmosphere here. The auditorium is one of great in our university.

Faculty: Our course curriculum is very simple. Teachers here are good, and some of them are great. I was worried at the time of my admission, but counselling cell gave me confidence and our teachers also gave me the confidence to do great in the present and upcoming future.

I am dissatisfied with the management and confused about my career.

Placements: Placement regarding campus selection in biotechnology is around 10% only. Very less companies visit the campus, which is also based on caste and winner politics. Only 10% of students make their career through the NET JRF. A majority of the students struggle in their careers.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are simple but have projectors and smart boards. It lacks AC, and it is often unclean. Labs lack the necessary reagents and equipment because of poor management of the laboratory staff. The library is very good as we have all the necessary books and academic resources.

Faculty: Faculty members are qualified and helpful. Only a few are not good in terms of explanation and behaviour. The course curriculum is not as good as it focuses only on academics, and it does not make us ready for the industry or innovation. Semester exams are okay, and 90% of students pass exams.

Other: I chose this course because biotechnology has vast career options, like we can work in the health sector, food industry, chemical industry, pharma industry, biotech industry, education sector, laboratory, research, etc. The college should focus more on skills required for the industry and entrepreneurship rather than academics. Teaching patterns should be more practical rather than theoretical. Regular events and fests are organised, but there is poor management. Scholarships can be availed, but caste and politics affect the equal distribution, which is sad to see.
