B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028
4.4

Review of D.Y Patil International University, Pune.
Placements: In our CSE batch of 800, about 30-40% of students got placed via campus. The average package is around 4 LPA to 5 LPA, and the highest on-campus is 27 LPA. The lowest offer is 3.5 LPA from a startup. Almost all of us do internships in Pune area firms like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro, offering roles like software or analyst intern, and many get PPOs. Top recruiter visits included Amazon, Cognizant, Bosch, and Capgemini. Extra high packages (30 LPA to 45 LPA from Google/Microsoft/Adobe) come from off-campus grounds and require strong coding skills.
Infrastructure: DYPIUs infrastructure for the CSE branch is modern, well-maintained, and future-ready, especially in terms of labs, smart classrooms, and learning resources. Hostel and food facilities are decent and aligned with most private university standards, while the sports and extracurricular scene is active and encouraged.
Faculty: DYPIUs B.Tech CSE program is academically solid for students who are willing to take charge of their learning. Faculty members are supportive, the curriculum is modern, and semester exams are reasonable. However, industry-readiness comes from self-effort, so students should actively participate in internships, projects, and certification courses.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029
3.6
4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good college with decent placements, supportive faculty, and well-maintained infrastructure.
Placements: Around 80-85% of students in the previous batch are placed. The highest package offered is around 15 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is around 6-7 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, and a few product-based companies like Amazon and Accenture. Many students also got internships in their 3rd year through campus drives, which later converted into full-time offers. The most common roles offered are software engineer, analyst, and associate developer. Overall, the placement cell is supportive, conducts training sessions, and brings good opportunities, though students have to work on their skills.
Infrastructure: The campus has good infrastructure with spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, a large library with both physical and digital resources, and decent Wi-Fi across the academic buildings. The hostel facilities are fairly comfortable but expensive, with clean rooms, 24/7 water supply, and adequate security. Mess food is average but manageable, with a mix of North and South Indian dishes. The canteen offers better options for snacks. Medical facilities are available on campus, and there are sports grounds and indoor games for recreation. Overall, the infrastructure is well-maintained and supports both academics and student life.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are qualified, approachable, and supportive. They explain concepts well and encourage doubt-solving both inside and outside class. The curriculum is updated to some extent with industry requirements, and there are regular workshops, projects, and seminars that help in practical learning. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable if you keep up with classes. The pass percentage is quite high as long as you study consistently, and there is decent weightage given to internal marks, which reduces the pressure during finals. Overall, the course prepares students reasonably well for placements and higher studies.

B.Tech. in Bioengineering - Batch of 2027
3.2
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Overall good for the students focused in area of this course.
Placements: The placement is totally on the basis of a number of companies which come to our college and students are chosen on a merit basis. Some students apply individually to companies. Some companies recruiting our courses like Cipla, Biocon, Siemens, etc., require bioengineers. Food industries if you choose food tech. Internships we have to apply on our own to whichever place we like to experience; otherwise, the college also provides internships on the campus itself. Top roles like research scientist, specialized professor, and bioengineer in companies, hospitals, and healthcare sectors as bioengineers, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is actually pretty nice with a good campus area. With fully air-conditioned classrooms with Wi-Fi. Fully equipped laboratories with all required instruments and machines. Also have a library with required recent books, journals. A new hostel facility is also provided for students with all required amenities.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are cooperative and helpful towards understanding and practical knowledge gaining of students. They are qualified and carry related degrees for the subject. The course curriculum is advanced based on more practical hours focusing on practical understanding with classes focusing on theoretical knowledge also. The difficulty level is according to the subject credit and difficulty levels. The scores are also calculated by relative marking.
Other: I have an interest in biology-related subjects and have deep knowledge about them with practical applications, so I chose this course. If you are more inclined towards gaining research knowledge along with technology while performing it, you can opt for this. Events are organized every year like fests with sports, dance, etc. As it is near Pune City, the connectivity is good with companies as it has an IT park. Along with studies, we can focus on extracurriculars also.

BCA in Cloud Technology and Information Security - Batch of 2021
4.8
4Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
A solid foundation for its careers with decent placements and industry exposure.
Placements: 80% of students get placed in the course directly through campus placements. The highest package is 70-80 LPA, and the lowest is 2-3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include IT giants like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, and product startups like Zoho and Byjus, along with HCL, and Teach Mahindra. The roles offered are software developer and web developer.
Infrastructure: Hostel mess and canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games are rated 10 out of 10 for quality. There are many facilities available, from basic to advanced, including computers, lights, ACs, everything is well-maintained. Sports and games are given priority.
Faculty: Teachers and staff are the best aspects of this campus. The BCA program prepares students to be industry-ready. The program has six semesters, which are not too difficult; however, semesters 5-6 are more important and tough than the FY and SY. The teaching quality is the best.
Other: Mainly events and fests are the cherry on top of things on campus while covering the course.

The best college if you have scored lower marks in competitive exams like JEE, CET, and NEET.
Placements: At DYPIU, almost 75% of students get placed. The highest package is 27 LPA (though this year I think it will be 33LPA), with an average of 4 - 7 LPA, and the lowest being 2 - 3 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Deloitte, Amazon, P&G, Flipkart, and more. About 80% of students secure internships; if a student doesn't have one, the college provides opportunities. The roles offered include software development, business analysis, and other positions.
Infrastructure: DYPIU has good infrastructure with all necessary facilities: Wi-Fi, library, proper classrooms, labs, etc. The canteen offers excellent food at affordable prices. Recently, DYPIU also started the best hostel in the entire Akurdi area—potentially the tallest building in Akurdi—offering facilities like sports, proper rooms, Wi-Fi, canteen, and mess, among other amenities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and well-educated. There are subjects which some of the students think are unnecessary but would for knowledge is good. The semester exams are moderate not too hard if studied consistently. Almost 75 to 80%of students get passed and the rest have to take re-exams.
Other: I chose this course as it is the most trending course and I have some sort of interest in coding too. I would say if they more focus on coding or industry needs that would be very helpful. The events and fest are decent it doesn't happen often. There are scholarships for students almost 50% will be deducted if have good grades in competitive exams. There are many extracurricular activities for networking and other stuff.

3 years at DYPIU : Spilling the tea.
Placements: Most of the students went for a postgraduation program after graduation. Companies that were there for placements included Marquis, Accenture, Events, Pro, and many others, and the roles offered by the companies were mostly for sales and marketing. The highest package as far as I know was 4.10 LPA. In the case of internships, as it was compulsory everyone did the internship, around 50% were placed by college and others by their own.
Infrastructure: As I was not living at hostel, but as far as I heard about hostel from friends, the mess facility and hostel are good. The people who wanted to live near college have a good amount of PG and flats options. College infrastructure: classrooms, labs, and libraries are well managed. Classes have AC facilities and good seating areas with proper lights. There are different labs for different purposes. The library consists of a wide range of book collections, which is helpful. The canteen facility on the whole campus is well managed, food quality is good, and they have a wide range of food items.
Faculty: Talking about faculties, it was a 50-50 ratio because some of the faculty's way of teaching was top-notch and helpful, as well as being approachable whenever we faced issues, and on the other hand, some faculties just used to enter the classroom, read the PowerPoint content, and leave. Also, there was a lack of practical activities in the curriculum; it was more theoretical. And when it comes to exam difficulty level, I don't think exams were hard because if you were attending the lectures regularly and submitting assignments, the weights for assignments and projects were pretty good to pass. But students are not industry-ready as there was a lack of practical activities.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in business and management, best thing about this course is you will get knowledge about all business aspects, including financial, administrative, strategy planning, etc. I wish that they will add more practical activities in the course as well as technical courses, because being technically updated is in demand. There is a yearly big fest as well as many other small fests and events in the college. Yearly fest is for 3 days, which includes different theme and programs on each day like traditional day, retro day and finale day (red carpet outfit theme) and they also arrange various activities like games, singing, dancing, drama, ramp walk, etc. Campus is so good and peaceful.
