Desh Bhagat University extends training and placement support to its students. The university has an established placement cell that looks after the on-campus placements. Desh Bhagat University admission criteria is a blend of merit and entrance basis depending on the programme. Candidates need to fulfil the preset criteria to get into the university. The eligibility varies depending on the programme and course level. For example, UG admissions are done on the basis of Class 12 scores, while PG admissions need graduation. Desh Bhagat University has not yet published the placement statistics for the BPharm course. However, the NIRF report for the year 2024 is available. As per that, a total of 42 UG-four year students were placed during the 2023 placements. Moreover, the median package offered during this DBU placement drive stood at INR 3.2 LPA.

DBU offers a BCom programme with multiple exit options. Tabulated below is the point of time of exit and the corresponding degree:

• The students who complete one year and leave the programme will be awarded a Certificate in Commerce
• The students who complete two years/four semesters and leave the programme will be awarded a Diploma in Commerce.
• The students who successfully complete three years/six semesters and leave the programme will be awarded a BCom degree
• An option is given to the students to continue their education to the Fourth year and those who successfully complete four years/eight semesters will be awarded a BCom (Hons) degree

Those seeking admission in the BSc programme offered at Desh Bhagat University, must have cleared Class 12 or its equivalent in Science subjects from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 45%. The university conducts its own entrance exam called DSBET Entrance Test for admissions to its programmes including BSc course. Aside from this, those with a valid score in national/state level entrance exams such as CUET will also be considered for admissions to the BSc programme at DBU if the university deems it fit.

Admissions to Desh Bhagat University, Punjab are based on:

Established in 1972, Desh Bhagat University, Punjab is the only private university in state of Punjab to get the 12 (b) status and operates its campuses in Moga, Chandigarh, Shri Muktsar Sahib and Kenya. B.Tech admissions are done through an entrance exam held by the university itself.The university welcomes applications from international students as well. Students with high scores in JEE exams can get an exemption from the B.Tech entrance exam. The application fee for B.Tech is Rs 500 and admissions typically begin in the last week of May.
