The University has not released the 2024 placement report or brochure. However, the 2023 placement details are out in the NIRF report 2024. Dibrugarh University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE), NCT, and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university has 177 affiliated institutes and colleges, spread across nine districts of Assam and 17 departments. Moreover, according to the NIRF report 2023, a total of 61 out of 170 BTech students were placed and the median package offered was INR 4 LPA during placement 2022.

Dibrugarh University, Assam is worth considering as a good university. It is placed in top ranks as per the NIRF rankings for consecutive years and also owns various recognitions and accreditations from various governing bodies. Dibrugarh University provides admission with a minimum aggregate of 40%-60% in Class 12 for UG programmes along with the considered entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, AHSEC, CUET and others.
