Value for money and a great college.
Placements: Particularly in B.A., a very small percentage of students with English honours are hired for an internship or placement. 6 LPA is the highest package that has ever been offered in this course. Only PhD scholars from this course get an opportunity for campus internship.
Infrastructure: The department has a huge building which includes Wi-Fi labs and well-maintained and clean classrooms, and a central library for everyone. The washrooms are clean, the hostel food sometimes disappoints you, and the quality of food is average, but the infrastructure is very good.
Faculty: Faculty members are so helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching methods are good in this course. Mostly, you will be taught by some PhD scholars and sometimes the assistant professors themselves. Exams are good. The exam paper is created by faculty members themselves. The teacher who teaches you will make the paper by himself, and you can pass your exam with 40% minimum.
Other: Personally, I wanted to pursue the scores because of my writing habits, I love to write. These courses provide you with the best opportunity to enhance your writing skills and your literature knowledge. I wish this department had a uniform. The university campus is so green and filled with flowers and trees. The department organised many events and festivals in the university.

School of language (Chinese department).
Placements: In our Chinese department, almost every student got job, and the package start from 5LPA. This year our department collaborated with the Uttarakhand government and launched the 10-day teaching internships (only for 3rd-year students), which is very helpful and innovative.
Infrastructure: Doon is a small university but campus looks always evergreen, especially in the Rainy and Winter. As a hosteller, each boy gets allocated a single room which is quite good but the food in mess is very bad. In girl's hostel, they allot 2 of 3 students in a single room.
Faculty: The other faculty members are normally good but our department's faculty members are very helpful especially our head of department and other teachers also. All teachers are well-talented and educated in their field. In our department, we also have Taiwan foreign faculty members, who teach us Chinese.
Other: I chose this university because of the Chinese department. I already know that there's Chinese department is good and famous. They also help students to get the China and Taiwan scholarships for higher education. Every year, a few students get scholarships in China or Taiwan based on their studies background and skills.

Placements: The college, Doon University is the best college for language courses and placements. The highest LPA at Doon University is in the German course which is 14 Lacs per annum. The companies that took the individuals are either in Delhi or Bangalore, which are good places for living.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Doon University is very good because of the nature with trees and birds all on the campus. The roads are well developed and the infrastructure like the buildings is very fine. The best infrastructure in Doon University is the library which is very good and people can spend their time studying in the library.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and the best teachers are in the Japanese and Chinese courses. German teachers are also very good. Most of the teachers are M.A. qualified or Ph.D. qualified and they are very knowledgeable. The curriculum and the way the teachers teach the students are very well-organized and interesting. They keep the students engaged with the teacher and the course they are doing.
Other: I chose this language course because the German course is very different, and I like the culture and history of Germany. I am very interested in it so I chose German as my career. The placements are very good in German and Chinese here. I didn't choose Chinese because it is too hard for me and I have no interest in it.

Doon University for language course.
Placements: There is no 100 percent placement. More than 60 percent of students do get placed in companies like Amazon, Accenture, and Suzuki. The minimum salary is around 3 Lacs per annum, while the highest went to 13.9 Lacs per annum at Accenture. Internship opportunities are available for students in other departments, but not in language courses.
Infrastructure: Doon University has excellent facilities for its students. Every department has its own lab, and the Computer Science department has a separate composite laboratory. There is an indoor badminton and table tennis court, two grounds for basketball and cricket, and facilities for many other sports. The university also hosts inter-department and inter-state cricket matches.
Faculty: The teachers at Doon University are very helpful and genuine. During the third year, they taught us what to expect in the outside corporate world. We had a course called Business Japanese, which is very important for the corporate world. There are two exams each semester, midsemester and end of semester.
Other: I always wanted to learn Japanese, and among the few options available, Doon University was the best one for me. However, as with every college, there are areas for improvement, such as the infrastructure and the disorganized management.

Placements: In the language course, there are only 25 seats per language, and entrance exams will happen. The highest package is ₹100,000 per annum. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Wipro come for placements. Students must clear the internship exam to apply for internships. Top roles are offered by the company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very big, and each course has a separate building. The campus is calm and soothing, with no rush, unlike other colleges. The quality of food in the hostel and canteen is hygienic, tasty, and affordable.
Faculty: The teachers in our department are very helpful, and they make sure that every student understands. No one is left out. There are smart classes to help students understand better. The teachers are well-qualified and educated. Exams are quite hard but very knowledgeable.
Other: I chose this course because of my personal interest and the facilities. The college conducts many events and fests for students' enjoyment.

I am not satisfied with this college.
Placements: My seniors were placed in Amazon, Accenture, and Shipra Travel. The highest salary package was 13 LPA in Accenture, the average salary package was 4 LPA. And the lowest salary package was 0, and Our college doesn't provide internships; we have to search for them ourselves. Placements are not that good except for the Japanese and Chinese departments. They get good packages. But, still more than 30% of the students in a class were not placed.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi doesn't work most of the time in college. In the hostel, it works for a few rooms only. Overall, the hostels are really good. Students get the kind of freedom and liberty that no other hostel can provide, especially for girls. Timings are 10:00 pm, and it's easy to leave and come back to the hostel without any hassle for leave applications. Caretakers and wardens are friendly too. We have a quick first aid facility as well. The food is really good and full of variety. For sports, we have a badminton court, football, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, etc. Inter-department tournaments are conducted annually.
Faculty: Teachers are really good and qualified. This course is irrelevant. It is better to do a language as a side course while doing graduation in some other field. Semester exams are easy, and more than 90% of students pass in my course. Above all, this course doesn't really prepare one for a job because it's just a language, not a technical skill.
Other: I chose this course because it was easy and had few job opportunities. But honestly, I regret it. The course is not that useful unless you have some connections in MNCs. This college should improve its curriculum and placement approach. The campus is quite beautiful, and you can see mountains from all sides. Dehradun itself is a beautiful, less polluted city, so that's a plus point. If we want to study in Dehradun, there are better options than this course and university. They might be expensive, but if our pockets can afford it, then choose them.

Most of the info about doon university.
Placements: The highest package students received is 25 lakh per annum, and the lowest is 5 to 8 lakh per annum.
Wipro, Amazon, etc., are the top companies who offer jobs to our students.
In the psychology department, most of the students have done internships in hospitals and NGOs.
Infrastructure: In my course BSc/Ba psychology there are great facilities for our department. We have our own club , psychology club, smart boards, and the best collection of books in our library. We have our own psychology lab , counseling room , and happiness laboratory.
The hostel fee of girls is 22000 something, and the boys’ hostel is 24000 something for 6 months [1 semester]. The food menu is decided by the hostel students through the mess committee. The food quality is decent.
There is a dispensary in our university and a travel vehicle for medical emergencies.
In our university, many sports are played: cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and indoor games like chess as well.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly, humble, and very qualified. Every teacher has its own teaching style, which is very interesting and easy to understand.
The curriculum is according to the New Education Policy ( NEP). The curriculum includes most of the competitive exam syllabus, so students don't have to enroll in other programs to study for competitive exams.
Other: Our passing-out batch was our first batch of psychology. I chose this course because I have a genuine interest in forensic and criminal psychology.
Things I wish to change about my course are that I want field work rather than classroom settings.
Our university provides scholarships.

Study in between a lush green campus.
Placements: I have no idea about this. No internships were provided to the students, and we never got to do the field work as well. So I have no idea regarding placements at this university. But I hope things are improving here with time and the student council is taking certain action against this.
Infrastructure: We have a psychology laboratory and very well-maintained classes with proper furniture. I was not a hosteller so I have no idea about that. Our classes did not have an adequate Wi-Fi connection. The library of our university is very vast and it has a good amount of study material.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified and helpful. And the syllabus was also very relevant. The difficulty level is moderate. I believe that the course and faculty polished us enough to become good psychologists. There were some teachers whose methods I enjoyed but some were not so polite.
Other: Choosing this course is totally my personal choice. But about events and festivals, our college has organized festivals that we enjoyed and they gave us a break from studies too.
