At Doon University, students are offered various specialisations for the BA programme. The university offers BA (Hons) and BA research course. Yes, Doon University indeed reserves a certain amount of seats for students who are residents of Uttarakhand. The candidate should have passed Class 12 in any stream with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories from Uttarakhand). Those candidates who have the aforesaid aggregate in their Class 12 marksheet can appear for the entrance test conducted by Doon University for admission in any of the BA domains. Candidates whose names will appear in the selected candidate's list published on the official website of the university can register for the counselling process, where they can fill in their branch preferences. The final step to complete the counselling and admission process is to get the document verified and tuition fees paid.

According to Doon University’s rule, students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance to appear in the end-semester examinations.

In exceptional cases, the Vice-Chancellor may allow the shortage of attendance to the extent of 5% and that too on the recommendation of the HoD concerned according to the conditions laid down by the Academic Council.

Students whose total attendance is less than 75% will not be allowed to appear in the end semester examination and will be declared fail for that semester and year accordingly.

No, there is no such provision for getting direct admission in any courses at Doon University. Aspiring candidates must take the Doon University Entrance test to get eligible for the admission process for programmes offered at Doon University. Selected candidates can register further for the counselling process after submitting the counselling fees; during this round, candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at Doon University for document verification and other admission formalities along with fee payment.
