Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University or BAOU was established in 1994. It is recognised by UGC and approved by the Association of Indian Universities. The university is ranked #3 as per the NIRF 2024 rankings in the Open University category.
Through its 4 schools of study, BAOU Ahmedabad offers UG, PG, PhD, Certificate, and Diploma courses to students across Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Management, and other streams. Bahasaheb University Ahmedabad, has established over 7 regional centres and more than 270 study centres across Gujarat.
