    On Highlights
Q:   BA (Hons) Economics at DTU is for how many years?
    A:

As a maximum of the offered BA courses in India, the DTU also offers a three-year BA (Hons) Economics course. Further, the course is divided into six semesters and offered in full-time mode. Applicants who are planning to get enrolled in the BA course must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria and must get selected in the admission process.

Q:   Is DTU better than an IIT?
    A:

DTU's BTech in Civil Engineering course has been rated 4.2/5 by 95 Shiksha verified students, while the same course at IIT Delhi has been rated 4.6/5 by 41 students at Shiksha. Also, as per the NIRF 2024 Rankings, Delhi Technological University has been ranked 27 under the 'Engineering' category, however, there are many IITs that are ranked before DTU in the same category. But, despite that, DTU competes against the top-notch NITs and second-phase IITs in streams such as Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mathematics and Computing. Hence, it is safe to say that DTU is as good as a second-phase IIT or an NIT.

Q:   Is DTU equal to IIT?
    A:

Delhi Technological University DTU has received 30th position under the engineering category & 62nd under the Overall category by NIRF 2025. Colleges like IIT Ropar stands below this university. Hence, DTU is better than many new IITs but still stands below the top IITs such as IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IIT Kanpur.

It has a good crowd with great exposure and facilities.
Placements: The highest package offered is 12 LPA. The average package ranges from 5-6 LPA, and the lowest package offered is around 3 LPA. Almost 50 percent of students get placed in this course. Top companies like EY, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, KPMG, etc., visit the college for placements. Almost 90 percent of students got internships in consulting, research companies, and startups.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are good. There is good Wi-Fi connectivity. Classrooms are spacious and maintained. Labs and the library are also nice and have good resources. Indoor and outdoor sports facilities and areas are also available. A medical room is also there.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are encouraging and supportive. The teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is relevant, and electives in data science make us industry-ready as we have learnt Python, SQL, and other languages. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is 90 percent.
Other: I chose this course because mathematics and economics are my favourite subjects, and it makes it a perfect combination. The crowd is nice, and I have made good friends. Engifest is the best fest among all fests.

Honest college review: My college life and how I view my college.
Placements: I don't know about placements yet, but I have heard someone from the campus has secured a more than 50 LPA in one of the Big Four companies. Otherwise, you would have to join societies and clubs and maintain a good CGPA to land in one of the great companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch, really amazing. It's small but worth it. I really enjoy being around the campus. The cafeteria, the volleyball court, the badminton court, the basketball court, and the cricket pitch are all well organised and maintained. The campus is very clean.
Faculty: Teachers are amazing, always on board to help you. The curriculum is also up to date. Everything is advanced. The exams are really easy, obviously if studied. Everything comes from what has been taught. Lovely teachers, by the way, are always on board to help enhance skills.
Other: Events and fests are organised from time to time and are over the top.

Review of Delhi Technological University, East Delhi.
Placements: Most students were placed, though it is not official data, but rumours are that median placements are about 3 LPA for the 3-year economics program graduates. However, new batches have 4-year programs, so the placements are expected to be better than in previous years.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, library, and classrooms are really good. All classes have smartboards or projectors and are completely air-conditioned. They even work as heaters in the winter. The library mostly has educational books, with very little fiction. The library's stock is really good. There are many knowledgeable books.
Faculty: Teachers are really cooperative. They are not like other college teachers who do not care about the students. They actually make us do things. Not all teachers are good. More than 50% are because the crowd is average. ATeachers are really cooperative. They are not like other college teachers who do not care about the students. They actually make us do things. Not all teachers are good. More than 50% are because the crowd is average. Teachers trim the syllabus a lot of times to make it easier for weaker students. However, that hampers our understanding, and we rarely explore anything truly in depth. Teachers trim the syllabus a lot of times to make it easier for weaker students. Decent academics, good crowd, and active societies.
Placements: Many students were placed, and the college is good. I don't know about the highest and the lowest CTC offered. Around 60-70% got internships. The majority of roles are marketing-related. If I have to guess the percentage of students placed, then it's around 60-70%.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel. Good Wi-Fi and great classrooms. A good library with a good selection of books related to the course that the students are studying or pursuing. There is no canteen at the college, but there is a Nescafe which is enough to fulfill our needs.
Faculty: The college has good faculty. They set up exams according to industry standards. The course does make students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite easy, and if you study, the teachers help out. The pass percentage is around 90% because students study a lot.

Good infrastructure and satisfied with the course.
Placements: Placements are good. Some students get good packages in reputed companies. Although there is still an area to look upon or work upon, that is, the number of total students placed or hired by the companies, it is low. The highest package is around 14 or 15 LPA, and the lowest is 2 or 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in our college, and it is difficult to find PG also, but infrastructure-wise, it is good, and cleanliness is good. Overall, the infrastructure is very nice. No complaints regarding it; no damaged washrooms, gates, or windows in the classroom. Going by infrastructure, it is good, but it lacks hostel facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough and helpful. Most of the teachers pay attention to whether we understand or not. They also give assignments, tests, and clear doubts in class and in tutorials. The course curriculum is relevant and nice.

Placements: Around 50 to 60% students are placed. The average package ranges from 5 to 6 LPA. The highest reaching around 10 to 12 LPA, and the lowest 3 to 4 LPA. Top recruiters included Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, etc. Almost all students got internships and consulting research, start-ups, etc. Roles offered included business development, research, finance, sales, and marketing.
Infrastructure: USM provides a decent facility with air conditioning, classrooms, and a very good library, even having a seminar hall and a medical room. Despite the small area of the campus, it contains an indoor badminton court and an outdoor volleyball court, and has even introduced a small but usable cricket practice net.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They explain concepts clearly and are open to doubts. The curriculum is relevant as it includes subjects like statistics development, Eco, International, Eco, microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Data Science electives. It also includes languages like SQL, Python, etc., giving both practical and theoretical knowledge.

DTU and IIT delhi are both topmost universities available in India. The placements given to these university students are also good. The infra is quite good for both the universities, hence the comparison between them is not possible. In the end, it depends on students what is best for them.

DTU admissions are majorly based on the JEE Main scores. However, without JEE Mains, students will have to change the specialisations and the course opted for then only admission will be possible.
