Review of V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education.
Placements: Established hotel brands, such as Taj, Marriott, and Accor, among others, visit the campus recruitment placements. It explore further work opportunities in India for their Management Trainee programs. Everyone from my batch finds their internship with the help of the institute.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities provided by the institute are outstanding. They are up to date with the ever-growing world of hospitality. They are essential for working in the world’s finest hotels and establishments. Classrooms having a smart TV, projector, laptop, and speaker. Library has a wide collection of books that are updated every few weeks. It is vast to help students learn in depth about different subjects, ranging from Food Production to Hospitality Law, and other important books that are relevant to the course. Food is hygienically prepared, nutritious, and delicious. The hostel is also well equipped with furniture.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified to teach their subjects, both theoretically and practically. The curriculum is very relevant to the hospitality industry as it teaches day-to-day operational knowledge that is vital in becoming a good hotelier. Important subjects like Food and Beverages Control, Consumer Behavior, and Food Microbiology are good examples. The semester exams are good as they depend on the student’s interest in the subjects, so the difficulty is not much. A lot of industry visits, trips to rural villages, and meetings with hospitality professionals are also inculcated in the course.
Other: I chose this course as I know I have an idea of becoming a chef in the future, but I need help with molding and developing my personality, attitude, and skills to become the best version of myself. The course never feels repetitive as every aspect considers discipline, knowledge, etiquette, and giving your best. Many student-based events take place, such as cultural nights, food festivals, and theme dinners. Many more examples that test the student based on aptitude and adaptability. The campus life itself is very friendly, well-mannered, and disciplined.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the institute.
Placements: A total of 23 students in my batch, making it an amazing experience to learn and grow. The highest package that I have seen my senior get is 42 LPA. Major recruiting companies are Taj, Marriott, Hilton, and Marthinal Portugal. In my course, all the students got an opportunity for internships in Portugal. As I am in the culinary field, the roles offered depend on the experience we gain, and it all depends on how you mould yourself for the future.
Infrastructure: I personally would say the institute has one of the best top-class infrastructures. And would inform all the students interested in visiting the institute and checking it. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. The quality of food is good, offering different types of meals every day. For example, one day veg meals, the next day non-veg meals.
Faculty: For me personally, my teachers are really helpful, well-qualified and very knowledgeable. The teachers are well prepared and ready to answer all the students ' questions. Mostly, handouts are provided by the faculty. The course is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready, but again, 50% is theoretical knowledge and 50% is practical knowledge, and it is a 100% when you put your full dedication and hard work together. The semester exams in my college are not very difficult because our faculty explains things so well that the exams feel easy to answer.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about cooking and creating something unique. The best things about my course are that everything is so well structured, like our practical class, our 6-month international internship in Portugal, and now we will have our restaurant events starting soon. I think the years I have spent here studying, they try to improve every day by talking to us and taking suggestions if we need a change. So, as far as I'm concerned, the institute is excellent, and even my course is really good. We also get an opportunity to host multiple events on our own.

Absolutely satisfied with my decision to join VMSIIHE.
Placements: We received multiple opportunities when it came to internships and as well as job placements. Internship we were placed in several properties in Portugal and India. Job placements included hotel brands from India Portugal UAE and many more.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top notch. There are spacious classrooms an IT lab, Library with all the necessary study material along with other books for readers. The kitchen and Restaurant for practical classes gave us the real world experience. Wi-fi is available throughout the campus. The quality of meals provided is excellent with a proper balanced diet and good quality raw materials. We had sports once a week along with an annual sports day which included table tennis football basketball and swimming etc.
Faculty: All teachers are very knowledgeable and help us with any queries that we have. The teaching material used by every teacher made the class more interactive and made it easier for us to grasp the information provided. All that I learnt and the institute has instilled in me makes me stand out among other candidates.

Underwhelmed by placements and decent faculty.
Placements: In our batch, there were well over 200 students enrolled in the course. Unfortunately, internships were not offered at all during our programme. Despite that setback, around 15-20 percent of students received placement offers. Many were hired for clerical roles such as data entry clerk, office clerk and administrative assistant in small private firms and local businesses.
Infrastructure: Our campus infrastructure is strong overall. We had adequate classrooms that were spacious and well-ventilated with functional Wi-Fi in academic blocks. Plus a basic library housing textbooks and reference materials. While labs were limited (mostly theoretical frameworks, with no dedicated practical setup), the faculty made efforts to conduct online and offline sessions effectively.
Faculty: Faculty were generally helpful and well-qualified, with most instructors demonstrating subject matter expertise. Teaching quality was consistent. Most teachers explained concepts clearly responded to student queries politely and returned assignments and exams in a timely manner. Faculty also provided feedback that guided students to improve.

Infrastructure and facilities are really good.
Placements: I don't have information about the placements or top recruiters. A 5 CGPA is required. The college placement cell plays a pivotal role in the placement process. These dedicated departments work tirelessly to establish connections with companies, organize placement drives, and prepare students for interviews. I do not have further information.
Infrastructure: College has a good infrastructure with Wi-Fi, a good network connection, and good labs and library. The hostel is currently under construction. The college is number one in sports and games. There are many events that can help students. The college also has well-equipped classrooms, modern laboratories, a comprehensive library, and robust safety and security measures.
Faculty: College has the best teachers and good faculty. They are adaptable, communicative, empathetic, patient and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment. They also demonstrate a love for learning and a commitment to continuous improvement making things easier to understand and more enjoyable to learn.
Other: It's good value for money.

Peaceful campus and good teachers, but no placements for B.Com/BA/B.Sc students.
Placements: In my course, there are no official placements offered through the college. As per my knowledge, no companies visit for campus recruitment, so there are no specific highest, lowest, or average salary packages. I'm not aware of any top recruiting companies or internship opportunities provided by the college in our course. However, I would like to highlight that students from our college often become more creative and confident because we are encouraged to participate in various activities and events throughout the academic year, which helps in building skills for the future.
Infrastructure: The college has a peaceful and beautiful campus with a lot of greenery, which creates a positive environment for students. The classrooms, labs, and other facilities are well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi connection is good. In my opinion, the overall infrastructure is very satisfying and supports a good learning atmosphere. Although I am not a hostel student, I have heard from my friends that the hostel facilities are quite good. The mess and canteen provide hygienic food, with prices starting from Rs. 30 and above. Medical facilities are available on campus, and basic sports facilities are also provided.
Faculty: According to me, most of the teachers in our college are quite good. Some are average, but some teachers are very inspiring. Especially my HOD, she's amazing and the best teacher I've had there. The course is good, but I feel the course alone is not enough to get a job. We need to learn extra skills or maybe do another 2-year course to become industry-ready, as we don't get placements from college. The semester exams are not too difficult. If you attend classes and study properly, you can pass easily.
Other: I chose the B.Com course because I want to do an MBA in the future, and I had heard that this college is good for commerce students. One thing I feel could be improved is that the course should include some creative skills, such as art or drawing. That would make learning more interesting and fun. About the campus, everything is perfect.
