Absolutely good college in Chhattisgarh.

Placements: The college does not provide any placement. There is no proper arrangement of volunteers and chemicals in labs required to conduct experiments. Labs are average. The librarian is not available. As the lab attendants do not work properly, students have to go to the store to take chemicals. Although the college provides chemicals, students cannot use them.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college good and is being developed with time. A new building is under construction.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. All the faculty members in Guru Ghasidas University are good.

Other: Students of SC and ST categories will get scholarships.

Overall the University, specially the campus is very good.

Placements: Generally, there is a little possibility in my course to get placement, but in several other departments, it is more like engineering and other IT departments. There are no percentage criteria to get admission at my college, but you have to give a university entrance test called the VET. After that, you get admission according to the merit list. Generally, I heard about Godrej Nestle, Ultra Tech, etc. There is no specific role, but you will get regular assignments and projects. About the internship, actually, I don't have any such information. I myself have done an internship at IIISc Bangalore, but it was programme-based and not directed by the teachers. Our batch was of integrated courses for undergraduate and postgraduation from 2015 to 2020. It was a brilliant journey with them. We are all in touch but busy with our day-to-day life schedules, especially in carrier building, because only a few of us got out just after college.

Infrastructure: As I was a hosteler at Swami Vivekananda boys' hostel at the GGV campus, I felt all the infrastructure was pretty good except for the hostel mess due to a lack of management. They charge for a good diet but are unable to serve it. There are 5-6 hostels on the university campus, but only a few have an active mess. The rest are delivered from other hostels. A very good canteen is there, but it has no multiple options. They usually serve samosa pakode-like things. It was operated quite well when it was inaugurated, but it later became just a stall-like thing. Sports facilities are good to average because not all sports are operated.

Faculty: Teachers are generally good, experienced, and knowledgeable about quality. We can say as usual, like other normal colleges in India. In terms of faculty, usually, all the permanent teachers are quite good, but sometimes the ad-hoc teachers feel unworthy. Regarding the curriculum, I would say it must be updated regularly because the things in the syllabus are old and not sufficient to deal with the current scenario. I want to say here about the exam that it is in no way difficult to pass. You can even top the exam in a single night of study, but regular classes are what I had done at that time. I think the passing percentage is about 40%. But students should not take it so lightly because, in some subjects, students get their ATKT or semester back. Hence, we can say you have to be disciplined only.

Other: If you ask, I will tell you that I had no choice but to join Physics Honor because I came from a Biology background but loved it. I think not only in my course but in all science streams, the focus should be on practical learning.
