IPU CET 2026 exam pattern is vital for candidates aspiring for admission to BTech lateral entry and BTech (Biotechnology). IPU CET exam is conducted for Lateral Entry to BTech programmes for Diploma holders (Code 128), Lateral Entry to BTech programmes for BSc Graduates (Code 129) and BTech (Bio-Technology) (Code 130). The IPU CET counselling process for these programmes will be conducted after the results are out. Admissions to the BTech (Code 131) programme of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will be made through IPU CET 2026 counselling. Q:   What is the marking scheme of IPU CET examination?

In IPU CET for each correct answer, four marks will be awarded and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. There is no marks deducted for unanswered questions.

The examination is conducted for 150 minutes or 2 hours 30 minutes. The candidates should be aware of the marking scheme before attempting the exam.

IPU CET question paper will incorporate a total of 100 objective-type questions. Each question will comprise four options, out of which only one option will be correct. Candidates are required to mark the correct one on the OMR sheet. The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for BTech (BioTechnology).
