IPU CET BTech Bio-Technology 2026: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

IPU CET full form is Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test. Candidates striving for admission to various courses at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will be admitted either through the National Level Test conducted or through IPU CET conducted by the University or on the merit of the qualifying degrees, depending on the course they want to apply for. IPU CET will not be conducted for admissions to BTech/BA LLB/BBA LLB/LLM & BArch programmes. IPU CET 2026 is conducted for BTech. Biotechnology, Lateral Entry to BTech programmes for Diploma holders, and Lateral Entry to BTech programmes for BSc Graduates.

Documents Required for IPU CET Application Form 2026

• Class 10 mark sheet.

• Class 12 mark sheet.

• Diploma Certificate (if applicable).

• Date of birth certificate.

IPU CET 2026 Application Form Release Date

The IPU CET 2026 registration is expected to begin in the first week of February 2026. The IPU CET application forms are given below for the previous years.

IPU CET 2026 Syllabus differs for various programmes offered by the University. The IPU CET syllabus provides insight into the various sections and questions that will be asked in IPU CET.

In the IPU CET entrance examination for Lateral entry to BTech (for diploma holders), candidates will be asked questions in Applied Mechanics, Computer Awareness and Physics / Chemistry Related Knowledge, Applied Mathematics, and Analytical and Logical Reasoning.

Candidates taking the exam for admission to the BTech (LE) BSc programme will get the questions from the following subjects, like BSc Level Mathematics, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, English (Class 12 level), and Scientific Aptitude. 

IPU CET eligibility criteria are different for various courses. The IPU CET application form will be accepted only if the candidates satisfy the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility for For BTech 

Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates must have passed each subject separately. The University will not conduct a separate CET for admission to BTech course; the college will use JEE Main marks. Candidates who want to join Engineering from GGSIPU must have a valid JEE Main score.

Eligibility for Lateral Entry to BTech programmes for Diploma holders (Admission is to the 2nd year/ 3rd semester of the 4-year degree BTech programme)

Candidates must have passed a diploma to apply for BTech Lateral Entry. They must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Eligibility for Lateral Entry to BTech Programmes for BSc Graduates (Admission is to the 2nd year/ 3rd semester of the 4-year degree BTech programme)

Candidates must have passed a BSc in Physics or Mathematics to apply for BTech Lateral Entry. They must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

IPU CET admit card 2026 will be released for candidates who are eligible to write the BTech Bio-Technology and BTech lateral entry entrance test. The IPU CET admit card is also released for all the courses for which the university will conduct the entrance exam. To appear in the exam, candidates must have an IPU CET admit card.
