IPU CET BCA 2020: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

The best strategy to prepare for exam is as follows.

• Know syllabus and understand exam pattern.
• Create a study plan and stick to plan.
• Regularly take mock tests
• Practice past year papers.

When selecting a reference book, ensure that you choose the latest edition to access all the current information. Reviewing the "Table of Contents" is an excellent way to assess the quality and topics covered. If there are multiple books available on a particular subject, compare the authors, editions, and table of contents to determine the most suitable option. One can manage time in the examination by practising the question papers prior to appearing in the exam. It will help in assessing which section is consuming more time, and then work on that part to save time. They must make sure that they solve many questions from each topic to increase the speed of solving during the exam.

Candidates must be familiar with syllabus, make notes of all topics, regular revision, practising previous years' question papers and appear in mock tests. Set small goals. Time management is important in IPU CET preparation. Practice solving problems in a time-bound manner and develop a strategy to attempt the exam.

Candidate wants to apply for more than one CET, they must fill separate application form for each IPU CET. IPU CET 2026 application process for various UG and PG courses will be available from February 2026 to April 2026. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be able to fill out the application form. To participate in the examination and admission process, the IPU CET application form 2026 has to be filled out with the correct details only.

In IPU CET  there is negative marking. This means one mark is reduced for each incorrect response. Marks are not deducted for unanswered questions. This means that if a candidate leaves a question unanswered, no marks are deducted. 

In IPU CET for each correct answer, four marks will be given, and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be reduced. There are no marks deducted for unanswered questions. Examination is conducted for 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates must know the marking scheme before attempting exam.

A total of 100 questions will be asked in IPU CET exam for B.Tech lateral entry and B.Tech (Bio-Technology) admission. Four answer choices be given for each question. Candidates must choose correct answer from options given. Total marks allotted to the question paper is 400.

The weightage given for the various topics is Applied Mechanics- (25%) Applied Mathematics- (25%) Computer Awareness and Physics / Chemistry Knowledge- (25%) Analytical and Logical Reasoning- (25%). .

The subjects included for Lateral Entry B.Tech for Diploma Holders in IPU CET are

1. Applied Mechanics
2. Applied Mathematics 
3. Computer Awareness and Physics / Chemistry Knowledge
4. Analytical and Logical Reasoning.

The topics included for IPU CET BTech (Biotechnology) are Physics - 20%, Chemistry - 20% Mathematics - 20% Biology - 40% or Biotechnology - 40%.

Candidates must have passed three years Diploma in relevant subject with a minimum of 60% marks. Appeared in IPU CET and name must be in merit list/rank list. Candidates must have cleared Mathematics as a subject at Class 12 level or should have studied Mathematics as a subject in first year of the Diploma programme. Candidates must not have any backlog in any of the subjects in the qualifying examination.

Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. University will not conduct a separate IPU CET for admission to BTech course. The admission to BTech course is based on JEE Main marks. Candidates who want to join Engineering must have a valid JEE Main score.

For Lateral Entry BTech, BSc Candidates should have passed BSc. With Mathematics as a subject. The candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% marks from any recognised University. The candidates should have appeared in the IPU CET. The name of the candidate should be there in the merit list/rank list.

The official website is the only platform for admit cards. The IPU CET Admit Card will not be posted elsewhere. Once application form is submitted, IPU CET Admit Card will be accessible. The admit card available approximately one week before examination date. In cases where a candidate has opted for multiple exams, separate IPU CET Admit Cards will be issued for each respective exam.

IPU CET admit card 2026 will be released on official webiste. The IPU CET exam will be conducted from April 2026 to May 2026. The admit card is usually released in April 2026. Candidates must check this space for more updates on IPU CET 2026. 

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU) is responsible for releasing IPU CET admit card. IPU CET admit card will be available on official website. The CET admit card can be downloaded by entering credentials like mobile number and date of birth.

The validity of IPU CET 2026 result is for current academic year. Candidates must apply for admission to desired course in same academic year. If a candidate wants to take admission in next academic year, they must appear for IPU CET exam again and qualify in it to be eligible for admission. Candidates must know important dates related to IPU CET to avoid missing exam.
