Gauhati University LLM admission is completely entrance and merit based. While students must have completed/ be pursuing (final year) their UG degree in the field of Law, final subject to a university-level entrance exam conducted by GU. For the 2022 academic year, the admission process for LLM at Guwahati University started in November with the opening of applications and the entrance for the same was conducted in December. However, due to the normal study cycle that has rolled back in 2023 for Class 12 and higher education courses after 2 COVID-impacted years, it is expected that the 2023 admissions will start comparatively early for LLM at Gauhati University.
The total tuition fee for LLM at Guwahati University ranges between INR 81,000 and INR 1.05 lakh. Other than the tuition fee, the students are also required to pay additional charges inclusive of the security and hostel deposits, etc. (if applicable). This tuition fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. Additionally, this fee is inclusive of the tuition fee for all GU-affiliated colleges and GU's Law department offering LLM. Other than the tuition fee, students are also required to pay an application fee of INR 800 while filling and submitting the online application form.

Candidates seeking admission to the LLM programme at GU must apply online on the official website of the University. Applications in no other mode are accepted at GU. A step-by-step process of application for Gauhati University's LLM course is as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official website of GU (www.gauhati.ac.in) and click on 'Home' followed by clicking on the option 'CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE' to open the online application form.
Step 2: Register by entering their basic information in the online application form.
Step 3: After that, the application number and password are generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
Step 4: Reopen the saved data using the application number and password and edit the particulars, if needed.
Step 5: Upload the photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the application guidelines.
Step 6: Pay the application fee and submit the application form.
The application fee is INR 800 which needs to be paid online. The payment can be made by using debit cards/credit cards/ internet banking /UPI. Candidates must also keep an e-receipt and a copy of the filled-up online application form for future reference.

Yes you have to give CUET for BA in Psychology course at Gauhati University. You don't need to appear in the entrance conducted by this university.
