It has an average infrastructure with a decent placement scenario.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. It is easy to interact with young assistant professors. Senior professors are somewhat polite but may be found to be insolent sometimes. Overall, teachers are fine. The current curriculum they follow is NEP 2020, which makes it easier for students to study from an internet platform. Semester exams are moderate, and students have an average pass percentage.

Average hostel life and below-average mess food in 1st year hostels.

Faculty: Semester exams are relatively easy in 1st year if you have a strong basis of class 11 and class 12 and also the JEE parts which are not in the NCERT. In 1st year, you got chill professors (not all, though but most of them are chill), especially the Maths department.

The practical choice for accounting: Good placements but needs better engagement.

Faculty: The teaching quality is decent. They are knowledgeable but the teaching quality is not that good. The co-curriculars are relevant and do make students industry-ready. The college exams are engaging and come under strict supervision which can be challenging for many students to improve themselves.

Review of Assam Engineering College.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. Exam difficulty depends on the student and the exam, as well as how well you prepared yourself for the exam. The semester exam is not so easy, but if you prepare for the exam, then it becomes quite easy to pass.

I'm satisfied with education.

Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified, and their way of teaching was simple so that everyone could understand. Exams were a bit tough, and the pass percentage was 33%. Professors were kind with no egoistic problem. The course curriculum was relevant, it made every student industry-ready, but the students must have an interest too. Professors were highly educated.

Satisfied, but improvement can be made. Hope for the best.

Faculty: The faculty are very good and well-qualified, and you can easily consult them whenever you want to. Many professors are present who will guide you, and many seniors are also there to help you with everything you need. So overall, it’s a nice college to get admission to.

I'm satisfied with my college. Faculty members are good, and the infrastructure is good.

Faculty: Our teachers are very good and very interactive. They always help us throughout our course with the laboratory practices and make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are mediocre in my opinion. If you study all the materials provided by the teachers, you'll pass the exam easily. The pass percentage is almost 85 percent I would say.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They have a lot of knowledge, and the teaching quality is very good, but the course curriculum is not relevant, and it doesn't make us industry-ready. The semester exams are quite good. They are very challenging.

Research is a priority, placements are not!

Faculty: The teaching staff is very knowledgeable, and almost all of them have quite a respectable number of publications to their name. Some of the senior professors have more than 10,000 citations, making them quite literally the masters in their respective fields.

Gauhati University's name is good but average in education and placement.

Faculty: Teachers are good, no doubt, but the problem is the course. The courses are very old compared to the real-world AI evolution. I don't think students are ready for the industry; maybe the teachers can be, but the course cannot. The semester is medium level, with 40% for pass, 60% for internal, and 40% for external exams.
