Gauhati University Hostel and Residential Facilities
Gauhati University hostels are administered by the nodal office of the Secretary, University Classes. GU campus comprises 24 hostels out of which 12 are Girls' and 12 are Boys' Hostels, allotted for both postgraduates and research scholars. The hostels are well-designed for ambience seating, full of all the necessary amenities. It has its own mess and security staff to take care of students. Moreover, hostels have prefects too to assist the staff and a warden available to ensure the safety and tranquillity. Each of these hostels has its own piece of history with famous alumni. The hostels run their own Mess Committee, which operates on a no-loss-no-profit basis.

Gauhati University Library
Gauhati University has a central University named as Krishna Kanta Handiqui Library (KK Handiqui Library) established since 1948 in honour of the esteemed Sanskrit Scholar cum Professor Krsihan Kanta Handiqui, a renowned orientalist worldwide. The GU library has a myriad of personal collections of Prof Handiqui, including 7953 volumes of books in 11 different languages (English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Latin, Pali, Prakrit, Russian, Sanskrit, and Spanish) which he generously donated. For a long time, the Gauhati University library has been working closely on a mission to comprehensively pass on the cultural, scientific, and technological experiences for a thriving human advancement.
The library not only supports the classroom instructional programs at the University but also broadens the scope of knowledge related to the various research programs undertaken here. It has separate sections: General reading, Reference reading, Periodicals and journals and a Special thematic corner.
The library is administered by a Library Committee, led by the Vice Chancellor of the university, with Deans from various faculties serving as members. This committee is responsible for guiding the library's operations and allocating its annual budget.

Gauhati University serve top-notch academic facilities - Large, fully air-conditioned classrooms and seminar spaces are available with Audio-visual projectors throughout the campus. It has a massive auditorium to conduct national and international cultural and social events, which is often used as a genteel space for public gatherings and for conducting large seminars. The University's Krishna Kant Handiqui library has a collection of 269369 books, 34495 volumes of bound periodicals, 3704 theses, 4500 manuscripts. It has a sitting capacity of 200 people and facility of reprographical section.

Infrastructure Reviews
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in classes are good. The infrastructure and college campus are good as well. There are many new facilities provided in the college, and it’s quite good. The classrooms are good. But there is no hostel for the college students. If you want to study here, there is no option for a hostel.
Infrastructure: We have a library, but fewer books are available there. Wi-Fi only for union body, staff, and teachers, the quality of canteen food is okay, not good, no medical facilities available in the college, but near our college. A government hospital is available, but not in the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Nearby is the railway station and bus station. There is no college hostel available, but there are private PGs which are good, though they charge extra. The food in the canteen is good, and you can get everything you want. Classrooms have digital boards, and Wi-Fi is available all over the campus.
Infrastructure: AEC has well equipped classrooms, labs, workshops, a library, and a canteen. There are 8 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel with good Wi-Fi facilities. The sports culture is good on campus. AEC also provides transportation facilities. Many sports events take place throughout the year. Inter Hostel Tournaments also take place.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. The classrooms are basic with limited modern facilities. Labs are functional but not fully equipped. Hostel facilities are decent but need improvement in cleanliness and maintenance. Sports facilities are minimal and outdated.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is useless, library doesn't have books according to the courses, just full of newspapers and all. Labs are there but we don't get a single visit during college time. Classrooms don't have smart TVs to teach students. Just a total waste of money.
Infrastructure: In our department, students are divided into groups of 10 members, which have 1 mentor teacher and one group leader. Every month, there is an organized mentoring session for students. We have two floors for a library, with available books for every department and every semester.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for our course is very good. We have AC labs and nice furniture. Lab facilities are good. But infrastructure of hostel is not good. Food quality is extremely bad. There are no medical facilities in college. Sports and games are very less supported by administration.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms typically include a bed, study table, chair, fan, and almirah. Wi-Fi may be available in some areas. Warden oversight, clear conduct norms, and a controller environment help in maintaining discipline. The hostel celebrates a Freshmen Social in August/September and hosts cultural, literary, and sports competitions.
Infrastructure: Rangapara College provides good infrastructure with Wi-Fi, spacious classrooms, a library, and basic labs for students. Hostel facilities are average, with decent rooms, mess food is satisfactory, and the canteen offers affordable meals. Medical support is available on campus, and students actively participate in sports, games, and cultural activities.
Infrastructure: All the necessary infrastructure is available for all students, including Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. There is also a girls' hostel and a canteen. The books in the library are very useful and up-to-date. The food provided in the hostel and canteen is also very good. Our college also has a gym.
Infrastructure: The facilities are top-notch, with excellent labs and all amenities like Wi-Fi. Classrooms are large, and the library is excellent. The university also has hotels where we enjoy good food. The mess is clean and offers a variety of food compared to the restaurant. They provide medical facilities and supply or manufacture sports and play equipment.
Infrastructure: Although the campus is not big, it has everything that a student needs, like a library, e-library, computer lab, labs, and classrooms. There are two canteens inside the college campus itself. There are also many clubs for sports and games which encourage interested students to take part in them.
Infrastructure: Our college was well-equipped with all the essential facilities, including high-speed internet, clean and well-maintained computer labs, safe drinking water, digital classrooms, and an advanced library. The canteen served good-quality food, and the hostels were kept tidy and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant living and learning environment.
