Our college has excellent teachers and good infrastructure.

Placements: There are 260 students in both the first and second years. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Almost 70% of students get internships. Top roles offered are marketing supervisor, human resource manager, and bank PO.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Our labs and classrooms are good and breezy. There is a smart class in every classroom. Our college buildings are good. The lift is available in the building. Our college has excellent infrastructure. The canteen is available.

Faculty: Our teachers are excellent, helpful, and qualified. They have good knowledge and great control over their discipline. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready.

Review of Himachal Pradesh University Business School.

Placements: As per the NIRF report submitted by the department for the year 2018-19, about 79 students got placed out of 117. In the year 2019-2020, about 53 students got placed out of 110, and in 2020-21, about 41 students got placed out of 123. The majority of students are undertaking their MBA from the institution and are taking MBA as the second option with their primary goal to clear some government job of banking test. As a result, students who volunteer do not take placements. But if you wish for placements then there are relatively higher chances. Axis Bank, HDFC, and startups come for placements. There is also a placement and training forum that guides and assists students with placements. It provides you with information related to vacancies in different organisations and you need to go there for an interview. The job role that a student gets after being placed in marketing is sale executive. The average salary package offered is around 3.5 LPA - 4.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The department is well-equipped with well-furnished classrooms and attach projectors. The facility of free Wi-Fi is also available. The library is also well-equipped. Hostel facilities are also available to students. Girls and boys need to fill out the form in order to get a hostel. Hostels are a distance of 400-500 m from the main campus. Depending upon the size of the room, two people share a single room in a hostel. Hostels are very prepared with gym facilities, common rooms, and canteens with shared bathrooms.

Faculty: Our faculty members are well-qualified and you can check their qualifications on the main website of HPU Business School. Since the institution is government-managed and funded, only the best faculty members are appointed. The curriculum of the course is more theoretical than practical. The institution offers three specialisations that are finance, marketing, and human resource. Students need to choose any two of the three in their third semester. At the end of the 3rd-semester, students need to undergo the internship and the project work that is needed to be submitted before the end of the final semester. For this purpose, mentors are also assigned to students. There are a total of six subjects in the first semester, 7 subjects in 2nd semester, and 6 subjects in the third and fourth semesters. Examinations are conducted at the end of every semester with 60 marks for theory and 40 marks for the assessment. The assessment is based on the house test your performance and participation in the class, the group presentation you have presented, and the 10 marks weightage to the house test.

Other: They are a total of 120 seats available in the course. About 60 seats are subsidized and 60 seats are non-subsidized. Candidates need to clear the HP MAT examination in order to take admitted to the course in addition to group discussion and personal interviews which are conducted after HPU MAT. The fee for subsidiary seats is between Rs.12000 to Rs.15,000 whereas the fee for the non-subsidized seat is Rs.115,000 rupees. Unfortunately, there are no special events, fests, or campus crowds undertaken by the department. You can participate in the functions of other departments of the university.

Overall, the university is average in all aspects. The library is the best.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. Only a few companies visited our campus for placements. Salary packages offered were also very low. The average salary offered was around Rs. 25,000 per month. The highest salary offered must be around Rs. 50,000 per month. The placement rate was not 100%. A placement cell is available in the university, and it is helpful only for those students who have excellent skills.

Infrastructure: Facilities in our college are average. Wi-Fi facility is available. Computer labs are available. The library is the best part of the university for students, and the students can study there 24x7. The college also provides medical facilities on the campus. Quality of food served on the campus is average. Hostel rooms are average.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are good, well qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful. Their teaching quality is good. The student to faculty ratio is 20:1. The college also provides industry exposure, which is quite useful for students. Overall, it is good.
