Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, also known as HITS, was established in 1985 and is located in Kelambakkan, Chennai. The total tuition fee for the BTech course ranges between INR 1.8 Lakhs to INR 13 lakhs. Apart from this, the candidate also has to pay hostel and one-time fee to pursue BTech course at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science commonly known as Hindustan University.

HITS admit candidates to its BTech courses through HITSEEE counselling. However, it may grant admission through TNEA counselling as well. In 2024, the TNEA last round closing rank was 19791 for BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It is for the candidates belonging to general All-India category candidates.
