Direct Admission started for the UGC courses. Students will directly report to the respective University Campuses for Admission I.e. Main Campus Kapurthala and constituent campuses Amritsar, Mohali-2 and Hoshiarpur.PTU MBA Admission Guidelines Admission to the MBA programme is granted on the basis of scores obtained by the students in CMAT followed by centralized counselling. The students are allotted seats based on their rank, choice, and seat availability.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) (earlier known as PTU) offers an MBA course of two-year divided into four semesters. Admission to the course is through a centralised counselling procedure. PTU shortlist students for counselling as per the eligibility and selection criteria. It is necessary for the applicant to have a valid rank in Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). Candidates shortlisted based on CMAT scores are called for PTU MBA Counselling. I am familiar with this city, and so with this college and location also.

Placements: I have updated for the DCPD placement drive, but I am not sitting in any of the placement drives, which come because the location is Bangalore and Mumbai, and there are no placements for HR and marketing till now, so I wish to look forward for my specialization.

Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, so I have not opted for the hostel facility. I have once visited the Ivory girls' hostel, but I have no idea how the internal things work, including the living environment, and the infrastructure is also good.

Faculty: Faculty formed the best component of this institute, now a university, I feel that the faculty is the best for students, problem-solving, and the curriculum is very rigorous. Also, a very busy and tired semester is filled with projects, presentations, dissertation, MST, and various events. All the course curriculum of MBA is good.

Other: I chose this course because I spend very little time in this college, once the classes get over, I commute back home, so I have nothing to share in the section.

MBA course information about placement, facilities, faculty, etc.

Placements: Almost 85% of the students were placed. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA, the highest is 14 LPA, and the average is about 6.8 LPA. Deloitte, ICICI, Infosys, and TCS were among the companies that came. Many were able to secure internships at consultancies and banks. Drawback, fewer offers from overseas.

Infrastructure: The campus features a good library, computer labs, smart classrooms, and Wi-Fi. The hostel's amenities are good, but the food in the mess could be better. Sports facilities are good, and there is some medical assistance, but it is not very sophisticated.

Faculty: The knowledgeable and helpful professors use real-world case studies to illustrate their lessons, and it was very intelligent and knowledgeable about the subject. Although some electives require updating, the curriculum is industry-oriented. The pass rate for the moderately difficult exams is about 90%.

Dissatisfied because of the management and their approach.

Placements: The placements are average at this college. Talking about my course there are companies coming only for sales profiles. The number of companies coming for technical roles is very less. Even the students with technical backgrounds are told to sit in the job roles that are for sales.

Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is quite nice as I say. One gets 24 hours of power which is quite good in summer. Also, the cleanliness is maintained and proper care of hygiene is ensured in the hostel. In my experience, the hostel is quite nice and the infrastructure is good.

Faculty: Faculty members are qualified with teaching experience. But it depends on faculty members and their teaching style. Some faculty members have a teaching style that is quite good but some have a teaching style that is just boring as they only follow the theoretical approach. Curriculum is designed by IKGPTU as the college is affiliated with the university. Also, the exams are decided and conducted by the same university except for only one department that is autonomous.

Placements: Very nice opportunity for placements, so many companies have come here and provide great packages, and the faculty guide by you with the placement classes like DCPD I, which teaches you verbal ability, quant, reasoning, which helps you a lot to enhance your ability to fight in the placements.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available for every student. Classrooms and labs are also very nice, with computers and activities provided by the college, and the main thing is that the rooms are very neat and clean. Washrooms are very clean, and there are smart boards and projectors provided by you.

Faculty: Faculty is also very cooperative and helpful. They guide you in every moment of life, they support you, and teach you about the role of life. The MBA journey is very interactive with the help of teachers, all teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable.

Overall, good in the segment in terms of the quality of education.

Placements: I joined this college because I learn about its good reputation in the market. The college key is very good for placements. Mostly come to college for placement in marketing and finance, but still require more recruitment in HR. She needs more campus placement in HR.

Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure, and they provide a library, canteen, cafeteria, auditorium, and bank branch with ATM service, but there is still a requirement for an AC classroom. Moreover, there is a very good post office, and there is a playground with more than 2000 students.

Faculty: Faculty is good. There is some improvement, like practical exposure, more focus on practical work, the sum of faculty members are doctors but need more information, moreover, sometimes they are doing more productive work. There are exams conducted monthly and semester-wise. Moreover, the college is good.

Other: I chose HR because HR is in every field in the organization. HR gives us very deep knowledge of human understanding, human values, ethics, and manages the assets. Moreover, I chose this course because it offers a professional degree that we can work in a vast organization.

Placements are not good. Infrastructure is average. Facilities are good, staff is not good.

Placements: Few companies visit our college because most of the companies prefer to visit Chandigarh University first. The percentage of students who got placed and the salary package offered is very low. During the admission process, they promised an average salary package of 7 LPA, when I checked the placement wall in the MBA department on the 1st floor, I noticed all the packages were below 7 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the hostel and college is above the average. Classrooms are decent, with facilities like projectors and smart boards. Sports are nicely promoted. In our college all types of sports and ground space are available. Mess and canteen are good, but it is overcrowded. The library is good.

Faculty: Faculty is supportive but other staff like the security guard office staff don't behave well. Semester exams are not that difficult, if we do hard work then we can clear them. The pass percentage is similar to any other college which is 33%, but for placements, we have to score a good percentage.

Other: I chose this course because of family and friend's advice. Events are quite good, but the bad thing is that our college charges Rs. 800 as a fee for an event. It is compulsory for all students whether they attend the event or not.
