IIIT Hyderabad Hostel Facilities
IIIT Hyderabad is a residential institute, meaning all admitted students must reside on campus. The IIIT Hyderabad hostel is separate for girls and boys. There are a total of five on-campus hostel facilities, of which three are dedicated to boys and two are allocated to girls. There is a single entry and exit point for the hostel, ensuring that the safety and security of the students are never compromised. The hostel campus is under 24-hour CCTV surveillance. Surrounded by lush green trees, the campus features a perfect pathway for an evening walk, providing a break from studying and helping students to relax. The hostels are supervised by wardens and the hostel in-charge to maintain discipline on campus.
The hostel rooms are spacious and come with basic furnishings, including beds, study tables, chairs, and wardrobes. The hostels generally offer single, double, and triple occupancy rooms on a sharing basis. On-campus facilities include a bank extension counter, an ATM, a stationery shop, and laundry services. The institute has three vegetarian (North, South, and Yuktahar) messes and one non-vegetarian (Kadamb) canteen, with Kadamb serving non-vegetarian meals five times a week. IIIT Hyderabad Library & Workspace
The International Institute of Information Technology - Hyderabad (IIIT-H) has a library facility for students. It has a rich collection of textbooks, reference books, thesis, dissertations, etc. The library has a strict rule to avail the services. No student is allowed to use the library services without their ID card. Personal books, printed books, and printed materials are not allowed inside the Library. IIIT Hyderabad library has a new reading room for students. It also has a stack area-cum-reading space where students can bring their books to study. There are a total of five library staff and four Library Committee members to manage the work load. The institute also has a new workspace that can accommodate up to 200 students at one time. This workspace is designed keeping in mind all the modern facilities such as ergonomic chairs and desks, discussion rooms, whiteboards, etc. The space is designed for students so that they can work in a quiet and focused environment. IIIT-H has an additional two new teaching labs that are equipped with projectors, TV screens, and theater-style seating with a capacity to accommodate a total number of 100 students.
IIIT Hyderabad Sports Facilities
The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H) also encourages multiple sports for the holistic development of the students. Infrastructure: It is a wonderful college when it comes to labs and a library with a very good infrastructure, and there will be 24/7 availability of Wi-Fi. When it comes to the hostel, we were triple sharing, so it will be somewhat uncomfortable. The quality of food will be good, and sports are compulsory on the campus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for first-year students, but it is not available or is poor. The bathrooms are clean, but we have to triple share a single room. Mess food is as expected. Nothing out of the ordinary is manageable, but since there are four messes in IIITH. There are options for everyone. Jains included.
Infrastructure: We have CCNSB labs dedicated to CND research. Most of the classrooms have AC, but hostels do not. Wi-Fi is all over the classes and labs. Hostels are provided with LAN support. Food quality is good in all four of the messes available. Recently, 2 of the messes, North mess and South mess, were combined and are called Palash mess. Sports are mandatory for the first 4 semesters for all branches.
Infrastructure: Everything is good. The food facilities are also divided widely with 4 mess partitions. Hygiene is something that is not fully satisfactory, but compared to other institutions, this place is very clean and serves moderately tasty food.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are excellent. We have a library, a reading room, well-maintained workplaces and labs. Free college Wi-Fi is available on campus except in hostels and mess. In hostels, ethernet ports are provided but not Wi-Fi which is also good. Classrooms and labs are equipped with smart boards, and unlimited Wi-Fi facilities are available throughout the campus.
