IMU CET Dates 2026: Indian Maritime University is expected to release the IMU CET dates for the 2026 session soon. Along with the dates, the authorities will also start the IMU CET registrations for the 2026 session. Students meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be able to visit the official website - imu.edu.in. As per the past year dates, we can expect the IMUCET exam to be held in May 2026. The IMU CET entrance exam will be held in online mode to shortlist candidates for admission into BSc, BTech, UG Diploma, MTech, MBA, and PhD courses offered at IMU campuses and IMU affiliated colleges. IMU CET 2026 Dates: Pre Exam Events

The IMUCET Pre Exam Events are as follows - 

IMU CET 2026 Application Form: First, the authorities release the application form, and students abiding by the eligibility norms can apply till the last date. The application link will be made available on IMU’s official website. The application form is to be filled out and submitted before the final date.

No applications after the final date will be accepted. Automated e-mails/SMS will be sent to every registered applicant on successful registration of the application, uploading of the admit card, publication of results, etc.

IMU CET 2026 Admit Card: The exam body will issue the IMU CET admit card 2026 online to all the candidates who successfully submit the online application form. The admit card has to be downloaded and kept safe since it has to be presented at the exam centre. Details regarding the exam date, timings, venue, and guidelines will be mentioned on the admit card of IMU CET 2026. To download the IMU CET admit card, candidates have to log in to the official website using their login credentials.

For both UG and PG courses, the type of questions will be asked in exam are multiple choice questions.

Q:   Who can apply for the IMU CET form?
A: 

Anyone who is minimum 17 years of age and have obtained 10+2/equivalent PCM Average with minimum 60% and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination) can apply for UG course.

For PG course anyone with BSc / BTech degree in Mechanical, Civil, Naval can apply for various programme offered under PG courses.

IMU CET 2026 Dates: Post Exam Events

The following are the post-exam events of the IMUCET 2026 - 

IMU CET Result 2026: The authorities will declare the IMU CET result 2026 online after the entrance exam is over. The IMUCET 2026 result consists of a rank list for UG, MBA, and MTech courses separately.

The IMU CET 2026 rank card is also published under the respective logins of candidates. To access the rank card/result of IMU CET 2026, students must log in using their required credentials. Aspirants qualifying for the entrance exam are then called for the counselling process.

IMU CET Counselling 2026: IMU will conduct the IMU CET counselling in online mode for admission in 6 campuses of IMU. The counselling will be done after the results are successfully declared. Students shortlisted as per the results will be called to appear in the counselling, which consists of various stages such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, etc. IMU CET counselling will take place in two phases.

IMU CET 2026 Exam Overview

The Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) 2026 exam will be held in computer-based mode across various test centres across the nation to shortlist candidates for Diploma in Nautical Science, BSc (Nautical Science), and BE/BTech (Marine Engineering) courses. 

It is held for 3-hour time durations, and the question paper is in MCQ format. There is a negative marking of 0.25.

Candidates can also join MBA and MTech courses via IMU CET, or they can apply via CMAT/CAT/MAT and CUET PG/GATE/PGCET scores. Preference in admissions will be given to candidates with IMU-CET ranks. Hence, the candidates are encouraged to register for IMU CET.
