At the postgraduate level, the deemed to be university offers M.A. MBA, and various other courses to students. Yes, IIFT cut offs for MBA-International Business and Business Analytics admission differ category wise. For General category students, the IIFT cut off is higher than that for Reserved category students. For example, the IIFT 2022 cut off for General category candidates was 52.75 but for SC/ST candidates, it was 42.75. in 2023, the qualifying cut off was 35 percentile for General-EWS and NC-OBC categories, it is 35 percentile. For SC/ST/PwD/KashmiriMigrants/Non-Migrants, the IIFT cut offs 2023 was 30 percentile. Selection for the personal interview round is based on these cut offs.
The Reserved category students also get the benefit of Reservation quota fixed by the Government of India. A certain number of seats are available for Reserved category candidates in the management programmes.
Yes, the part-time PhD course candidates need to visit the IIFT Delhi campus on weekends. The classes are conducted for this course on weekends at the institute. It is necessary that the enrolled candidates take classes and appear for them as per the schedule given by the institute. The schedule is provided by IIFT. The IIFT Delhi application form can be downloaded from the institute’s official site. Candidates applying for the PhD full-time and part-time courses must complete the application form. IIFT registration is a four-step process as mentioned below:
- Go to the official website of NTA, i.e, https://iift.nta.nic.in, to apply online for IIFT admission.
- Log in and complete the application form as per the details given in the Information Bulletin of IIFT programmes.
- Upload photo, signature and certificates and pay the application fee to complete the application process.
- Pay the exam application fee and hit the 'Submit' button.

- A copy of the “Statement of Purpose” for the proposed PhD course should be as per the template.
- Self-attested copies of certificates & mark sheets of qualifying degrees and other certificates (from SSC level).
- One passport-size colour photograph (to be uploaded at the time of completing the application form).
- Two letters of recommendation (in the format provided in the application form).
- At least one example of scholarly research or professional writing.

Yes, the candidates are required to clear the sectional cut offs of IIFT entrance exam as well for selection to second round of IIFT admission process, which is group discussion or extempore, essay writing and personal interview. The sectional cut offs play an important role in assessing the abilities of a candidates in all subjects – Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and English Comprehension. That is why the institute releases sectional cut offs as well for shortlisting of candidates for the personality assessment round of the MBA admission process. Those who do not meet the sectional cut offs, may not get selected for the group discussion or extempore, essay writing and personal interview round.

IIFT Delhi PhD 2025 FAQs
IIFT Delhi accepts CAT scores for MBA (IB & BA) specialisations. Earlier the admission was through the IIFT exam. However, in an official notification, the institute has announced that will accept the national-level exam score now. After the conclusion of the entrance test, candidates shall be shortlisted for further selection rounds. Shortlisted candidates are further required to participate in the written test, group discussion and personal interview round. The final selection is done based on overall performance in the selection rounds.
IIFT Delhi offers INR 15,000 as the fellowship for the first two years of the degree course/work. The fellowship is given to some selected candidates only.
