Q: What is the IMU CET counselling registration process?

Candidates who have been issued with IMU CET Rank Certificate are provided with a portal through which they can select the Programme (s) and the Campus (es) where they desire to take admission. Candidates have to register on this portal by making an online payment of INR 10,000/- towards the Counselling Fee. The Counselling Fee is nonrefundable if a seat is allotted on any campus in any programme; else INR 9000 will get refunded. The Candidate should choose multiple options in the order of their preference for:

Best college in India for Merchant Navy.

Placements: I, Ebin Joshy from GP 97, feel very proud to say that I am placed in MOLMI Shipping Company through HIMT College. Placement training given by our college is the reason for my placement. The placement assistance is done by our captains and chief Engineers and course in-charges to train the cadets on both the deck and engine side. We have many shipping companies like BSM, Zodiac, IMEC, Genco, and Molta coming to our college to take the students and update their own resume from the HIMT student portal's resume builder.

Infrastructure: General Shipping knowledge and Marine Engineering knowledge are our areas to be identified. All our classes have a smart board and AC. Students should take VR training, which is provided by our college only. Shipping on campus is one of the most important infrastructures in our college. Hostel rooms, food, cleanliness, library, medical facilities, and canteen are available with excellent facilities. Khelo HIMT Khelo is widely focused on by our college. Our sports facilities are excellent to our requirements.

Faculty: Our learning is done from our masters, captains, engineers, and professors. Our curriculum consists of GSK and MEK. All these subjects are handled by our faculty with wide knowledge both practically and theoretically. Our classes are taken in such a way that we can take up both oral and online exams. Training is done for all the cadets from their basic level to industrial standard level.

Other: All the facilities provided by the management to make us learn more are the outcome of HIMT College. They take care of cadets, celebration of festivals, time management, and discipline.

Best learning experience.

Placements: A total of 19 students from my course are placed in Mitsui Osk. Many companies are coming to college, like M.Sc. Maersk VR, Maritime Mol, and Synergy. The top roles offered to students are deck cadets, engine trainee, deck trainee, trainee os and Viper.

Infrastructure: Facilities are very top-notch, from the food to the hostel. Everything is really good. There are fully air-conditioned classrooms, a good water cooling system, and medical facilities are very good it doesn't feel like you are away from your home. Sports are good.

Faculty: Teachers are really good, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are providing us with the best quality of teaching and technical terms. I don't know how to express my gratitude to them but I will never forget their hard work for me all credit goes to my teachers.

Other: GP rating is one of the best courses for getting shortcut or ground-level entry in the merchant navy, which helps us to become financially stable at a younger age.

The mess food and accommodation totally disappointed us.

Placements: Probably 50 percent of cadets got placed. But the rest of students did not get placed. The college provides only 100 percent placement assistance. I suggest students do not believe blindly in the receptionist, as they are doing a scam. They should check twice. Only 3-5 companies attend the college for placements.

Infrastructure: The hostel has the worst infrastructure. Classrooms are not high-tech. Wi-Fi is not available. Food is good, but it does not provide variety. Sometimes, it might be the worst. The swimming pool facilities are too bad. A physical instructor is the worst. A bad sewage water plant is fitted in the college. Engine room facilities are provided for cadets. The atmosphere of the college is good.

Faculty: Staff and faculty members are good. Education-wise, it is good. Semester exams are tough to clear. Faculty members won't help with the semester exams. The pass percentage is above 70 percent.

Review of GP in HIMT College.

Placements: Placement in HIMT is good, given the hardships and training, one can easily manage to get selected in prestigious companies coming for selection. Decent package as per the company policy. Many companies in the maritime industry as M.Sc. Maersk, Synergy, Nautilus, Sunav, PIL, MOL, and many more.

Infrastructure: Facilities are best in terms of classrooms we have smartboards for learning, a VR lab for close understanding and seamanship, and a BSW lab for in-depth learning of practical knowledge. The college has various facilities such as a canteen with basic daily need items available, a big turf for sports activities, and a gym.

Faculty: -Teachers are really dedicated to the learning and understanding of cadets under training, with knowledge more than anything and real-world experience. Courses are up to the industry standards and can help one achieve success in shaping their lives. Semesters are decent, and the pass rate is quite nice because overall learning is the main focus in college.

Placements: Course GP Rating Batch 97. I am Rahul PP from HIMT College, and I would like to express my gratitude to our CEO, Sanjeev Vakil sir, for providing placements to our batch. Many companies like Genco, Synergy, BSM, VR Maritime, and Molta have taken cadets from our college HIMT.

Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure is provided by our HIMT College. The facilities are a VR lab, a ship on campus, seamen-ship lab, and a basic workshop lab. All the machinery is available in our labs with proper maintenance. Hostels are available for boys and girls. All rooms have proper facilities and are well maintained. Medical facilities, a playground, and sports facilities are available on the campus.

Faculty: The most important factor of our HIMT College is our beloved faculty. There is well-qualified faculty, and they have more than two decades of experience in the marine industry are the pillars of our college. Every batch has orals and mock exams, which are very useful in our main examination. Practical classes are very useful, and we are trained every day.

Other: My batch mates are from all the states of our country. We all celebrated all the festivals on our campus. Every week, there is a counsellor who takes a class and motivates us to do our best. We all have attended a meditation class, which plays an important role in our behaviour.

If you plan to do Merchant Navy, it's HIMT college.

Placements: I got placed at Molmi Shipping Company through HIMT College. I would like to thank the Senior Management and the lovely faculty for giving me this opportunity and helping me get groomed. The company is happy with the all-round appearance of the campus and the students.

Infrastructure: All the best facilities are provided, like VR rooms, practical labs, electrical lab, GSK and BSW separate labs, and for playing cricket, turf, and other grounds are there as well, and an indoor hall is also there.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and well qualified as well, and they are also knowledgeable. It makes us quite proficient for the job. Exams are moderate, but the teachers and faculty of HMT make every effort for the students, and they make us prepare well. The faculty here makes you feel at home with discipline added.

Other: I chose this course because Merchant Navy is my dream job. In this GP rating course, we learn about both deck and engine side. HIMT organizes the best events on the weekends, like jam sessions, sports meet, and other events. Extraordinary activities are done.
