JMI Entrance Exam BFA 2023: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University conducts Jamia Millia Islamia entrance test to shortlist candidates for admission in various UG and PG courses such as Engineering, Architecture & Planning, Hospitality & Travel, Animation, Mass Communication, Humanities & Social Sciences, Commerce as well as Teaching & Education. The result of the entrance exam is announced separately for different programmes.

JMI Entrance Exam Highlights

Given below is the eligibility criteria for MFA Programmes:

BFA (Painting): 18-May-2023 from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm

• Senior Secondary School certificate examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of best of 5-papers

BFA (Sculpture): 16-May-2023 from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm

• Senior Secondary School certificate examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of best of 5-papers

BFA (Applied Art): 12-May-2023 from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm

• Senior Secondary School certificate examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of best of 5-papers

BFA (Art Education): 17-May-2023 from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm

• Senior Secondary School certificate examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of best of 5-papers

Candidates who wish to appear for the Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam will have to follow the admission process. Applicants need to apply for different courses on offer at Jamia Millia Islamia University through the online medium. The candidate will have to fill up the application forms which will be provided on the official website of the university, which will be followed by the payment of the application form fee. Once the candidate has successfully submitted the application forms, the applicant will receive their respective admit cards. Here’s the admission process for the JMI entrance exam 2023.

Step 1: Register at JMI admission portal

To fill the JMI 2023 entrance exam application form, the candidate will first have to register themselves on the admission portal of the varsity by entering details such as:

Once the candidate has successfully registered, the aspirant will receive a mail on the submitted email-ID, which will contain a unique code with a link to verify the email account, login ID and password.

Step 2: Fill up JMI entrance exam application form

After candidates verify their email accounts, they can login by entering their ID and password. It may be noted that "a candidate is allowed to submit only ONE form for each program/group of programs (With Combined Entrance Test). Multiple submissions of form for the same program by a candidate may cause rejection of his/her candidature," informs the official website. Step 3: Pay JMI Entrance Exam Application Fee 

After the candidate has filled up the JMI entrance exam application form, the next step is to pay the application fee. Candidates can pay the fee in online mode via credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

Once the fee is paid successfully, the candidates’ JMI entrance exam 2023 application process will be complete. 

Step 4: Admit Card

Once the JMI application form and the application fee have been successfully submitted, candidates will receive their respective admit cards on the official website of the university. Candidates will have to download the admit card on the official website of the university by logging in to their accounts.

Once the candidates have downloaded their admit cards, the aspirants are requested to take a printout and paste their self-attested passport size recent coloured photograph in the space provided. Thereafter, candidates can carry their JMI admit card 2023 to their allotted exam centres. Candidates are recommended to carry two copies of their admit card to the test centre as they need to deposit one of those copies to the invigilator at the time of exam, informs the official website.

Step 5: JMI 2023 Entrance Exam

The Jamia Millia Islamia 2023 entrance exam will be conducted in the month of June. Candidates are expected to bring two copies of their admit cards before sitting for the entrance exam along with one photo-identity proof for verification purposes. Candidates are also advised to follow the rules and instructions as well.

Step 6: Results

The JMI 2023 entrance exam results will be announced on the official website of the university. JMI result displays the result status of candidates. Qualified candidates are required to appear for the further selection rounds. Candidates clearing the interview rounds are offered admission in their respective courses offered at Jamia Millia Islamia University on the basis of merit.

Step 7: Counselling

JMI 2023 counselling will begin once the JMI entrance exam results have been announced. Candidates will be called for the counselling process as per their rank on the merit list. Selected candidates will have to complete their admission formalities on or before the date notified in the admission schedule. Candidates are required to bring the admit card of Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance exam and attested copies of the required documents. JMI counselling 2023 will be conducted separately for different courses on different dates.
