CUET UG application form window 2026 has been re-opened by National Testing Agency at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA has made this decision after receiving multiple requests from students who were not able to apply for the exam. The CUET application window will remain open till February 26, 2026 (11:50 pm). Candidates now have another chance to register for CUET UG exam. NTA will not open CUET application 2026 correction window, so candidates are advised to submit the form carefully.

Only candidates who are registered for CUET exam will be eligible to appear for the exam. Students desireous of taking admission to UG courses of Central Universities must fill online form before the last date to avoid any last minute rush. While filling CUET online form 2026, students must carefully enter CUET subject combination to appear for exam. Registered candidates will be able to download CUET intimation slip 2026 and CUET admit card 2026 when released. NTA will conduct CUET 2026 from May 11 to May 31, 2026.

As per the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment guidelines, PwD candidates will be provided with following facilities:

  1. Scribe facility: In case the candidate has physical limitation and required a scribe for writing the exam, he/she must be certified in the format provided by CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
  2. Extra time: PwD candidates will get extra time of one hour whether such candidates use scribe facilities or not.

How to Fill CUET UG Application Form 2026?

To begin with the registration process, visit the official website of CUET UG 2026- cuet.nta.nic.in and click on the tab 'CUET (UG)- 2026 Click here for registration/Login.' Screen will now display the CUET UG registration page

Step 1: Registration

  • To begin with the CUET online form 2026, candidates must click on the 'New Candidate Registration Here' tab at cuet.nta.nic.in and read the instructions carefully before proceeding.

  • Enter personal, contact details and address to create login credentials.

  • Candidates will receive the username and password on their registered email ID and SMS.

  • On successful registration, Candidates must enter the following details to complete the CUET UG application form:

    • Candidate Name

    • Father’s Name

    • Mother’s Name

    • Guardian’s Name

    • Date of Birth from the drop-down box

    • Gender

    • Nationality

    • Identity Type (Select a valid Photo Identity Card type)

Step 2: Application Process

1. Personal Details: This section fetches information from the registration form, and the additional details required are as follows:

In this section, candidates have to enter their qualifying exam details such as the name of the board/college, passing year, marks obtained, and percentage scored. The fields has to be filled as follows:

Step 3: Examination Centre Selection: Candidates must choose two CUET exam centres: states and city choices in the preferential order in which they wish to appear for the exam.

Step 4: CUET Test Paper/CUET Domain Subject Selection

  • Candidates can select a minimum of three and a maximum of five subjects or papers.

  • Along with the CUET domain subject selection, candidates also have to select the medium or language of the question paper they wish to opt for.

  • In case of selecting less than five subjects, candidates have to select the NA: Not Applicable option for the rest of the subject fields.

 

Step 5: Upload Photograph and Signature

At this stage, candidates have to upload their scanned photographs and signatures as per the prescribed specifications. The following table brings the details of the documents to be uploaded.

After this step, candidates have to verify every detail entered and also verify their email id. Candidates will receive an OTP in the email id and upon entering that, they will be redirected to the CUET 2026 application fee payment section.

Step 6: Application Fee Payment

Candidates must pay the application fee to submit the CUET 2026 application form. Candidates get various online options to pay the CUET application fee like net banking, UPI and wallets. Candidates will not be allowed to pay the CUET fee 2026 in offline mode. The fee will vary for overseas candidates. Also, such candidates will be required to pay more for opting more number of subjects.

Q:   What is the last date for filling CUET application form?

National Testing Agency re-commenced CUET 2026 registration on February 23, 2026. Soon after the release of the CUET notification, candidates can check the important dates about CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration was February 26, 2026 (11.50 PM).

Candidates were required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. For CUET UG 2026 it is expected that more than 14 Lacs candidates have applied for the exam. The official notification from NTA is yet to be issued. Recently, NTA has reopened the CUET UG 2206 registration window from February 23 to February 26, 2026. NTA is expected to announce the total unique registrations with the release of CUET datesheet 2026.

Challenges While Filling CUET Application Form 2026

 While filling the CUET UG 2026 application form, many applicants may encounter issues on the website for CUET UG. The number of challenges have been listed below:

  • The official website does not show the CUET subject mapping criteria for state, deemed, private and government institutions
  • Difficulty logging in despite entering the correct credentials
  • Auto logout while filling the CUET application form. As a result, details are not getting saved.
  • Payment status shows unsuccessful despite the amount debited from the account.
  • List of participating universities is not visible in the dropdown menu.

  • Issue with uploading mainly occurs by not following the image specifications.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria to apply and appear for CUET UG. NTA prescribes the eligibility parameters below:

CUET Eligibility Criteria: Academic Qualification

  • Students should have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science or a relevant stream to be admitted to bachelor’s degree programmes in the Central Universities.

  • Students in Class 12 who are yet to appear for the Board exam are also eligible to apply.

CUET Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

  • There is no age limit for appearing in the CUET UG 2026 exam.

Q:   What is programme specific eligibility criteria in CUET?

For admission to the desirous University/Institution, the candidates must appear in CUET 2026 in the Languages and Domain Specific subjects as per the Program-Specific Eligibility for which s (he) is desirous to take admission. For instance, if a candidate wishes to apply for B.Com (Hons.) programe in Delhi University he/she will be required to make the subject combination as :

Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1

PwD candidates who are visually impaired or have disability in the upper limb or have lost hands/fingers which prevents them from operating the CUET UG computer based test will be able to avail the scribe facility.

Such candidates can take the help of scribe for reading the questions or keying the answers as per the direction of candidate. The scribe will not be allowed to explain or suggest the answer. To avail the service of scribe, PwD candidates must opt for it while filling the CUET 2026 application form.  The scribe will be provided by CUET 2026 conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) only.

Q:   How many subjects do I have to take to appear for CUET UG?

Candidates can select upto five CUET subjects to appear for CUET UG exam. CUET UG subject selection criteria depends upon the course and college candidate desire to take admission in. Candidates preparing for exam must focus on NCERT syllabus and previous year question papers to ace the examination.

CUET 2026 will be held in two slots. The timing for the same is released with release of CUET 2026 admit card. Candidates can know the exam centre and timing along with the release of CUET 2026 admit card. NTA is expceted not to release the official CUET 2026 date sheet. Candidates can check their subject-wise CUET exam date and slot timings on CUET intimation slips and admit card.

What After CUET UG 2026 Application Process?

After completing the CUET UG 2026 application process, candidates have to preserve the following information:

Registered candidates can download the CUET 2026 admit card when released. Candidates must note that CUET intimation slip will not act as CUET admit card 2026. Q:   When will the CUET admit card release?
A: 

NTA will release the CUET admit card 2026 online in second week of May at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards online at cuet.nta.nic.in. The admit card will be available for download in PDF document and is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre. Prior to the release of the CUET UG admit card, NTA will release the advance intimation of exam city slip. It is not the admit card, but will inform candidates about the city. Candidates will be required to enter the college and course preference and pay the DU CSAS registration 2026 fee to participate in the admission process. On the basis of the choices entered and CUET 2025 percentile, candidates will be alloted college and course. CUET 2026 result will be declared in first week of July 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in.

CUET 2026 Application Correction - Uneditable Fields

Following are fields that the candidates will not be able to edit after the submission of the CUET application form:

  • Photograph - Image Upload
  • Mobile number

  • Email address

  • Permanent and correspondence address

The fee will be changed accordingly in case of a change of category. The correction was applicable only after payment of an additional fee, if any.

Q:   Is CUET 2026 exam online for offline?
A: 

CUET UG 2026 exam will be held a Computer Based Test. In this mode of examination, candidates will have to report at the alloted CUET exam centre. Applicants will have to take exam on computer screens only. The screen will display the questions and candidates can select the correct option and save changes.

Q:   Which are the non editable details in CUET application form?
A:

CUET UG 2026 exam duration for each subject is 60 minutes. National Testing Agency will announce the CUET slot timings soon. NTA decides the number of slots and timings based on number of candidates applied for the exam. It is expected that CUET exam will be held in three slots on each day.

Q:   What is the CUET exam for?

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is conducted for admission to UG courses of central, state, private and deemed universities. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts CUET exam annually for students desireous of taking admission to colleges of Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Allahabad Univeraity and many more.

Q:   Who is eligible for CUET UG exam?
A: 

NTA has released the CUET eligibility criteria.

  • Students who have passed class 12th exam or are appearing for final examinations will be eligible to apply for CUET exam. 
  • Student must have scored 50% marks in total (general category) or 45% marks (SC/ST and other categories).
  • There is no age limit to apply for CUET UG 2026 exam. However, candidates are advised to check the university and course wise criteria for admissions.
Q:   Is CUET UG exam compulsory?
A: 

Common University Entrance Test is compulsory for admission to the undergraduate programme of central universities. Candidates must have a valid score in CUET UG exam to get admission in desired course and college. Some CUET state and private universities conduct own entrance test and also accept CUET UG scores.

Q:   What is CUET exam duration for each subject?
A: 

CUET UG exam pattern have three sections.

Section I- 13 Languages 

Section II- 23 Domain Subject

Section III- General Test

Candidates will get 60 minutes for each language, domain subject and language. Candidates will not be given extra time

Yes, National Testing Agency has reopened the CUET UG 2026 registration window. Candidates who have missed applying for CUET 2026 exam earlier, can now apply online till February 26, 2026 (11.50 PM). Candidates have the last opprtunity to apply for exam online.

CUET UG cutoff 2026 for Jawaharlal Nehru University will be released soon after the declaration of results. JNU will release the CUET cutoff 2026 based on the number of registrations, number of seats and candidate's CUET score. Candidates can check the CUET JNU cutoff online when released.

Jamia Milia Islamia releases the CUET merit list instead of CUET cutoff list. Candidates who will be shortlisted can check their names on the merit list when released. JMI releases the CUET merit list soon after the declaration of CUET results.
